With Tokyo being hit by abnormal, almost constant rainstorms, her business as a sun girl who stops the rain becomes very popular.

Los animes que combinan elementos fantasiosos o místicos con un entorno realista o moderno siempre consiguen llamar mucho la atención del espectador y poco a poco parece que son más frecuentes de ver. Tenki No Ko es una película la cual no cuenta con mucha antigüedad debido a que data del año 2019 y nos presenta una realidad de un Tokio moderno en donde extrañas anomalías climáticas están provocando lluvias constantes en la ciudad y también como la solución a estas extrañas lluvias parece tener relación con antiguas leyendas, en donde no siempre el final será feliz y alegre.
Esta historia nos presenta a Hodaka Morishima, un joven que aun siendo menor de edad decide escapar del pequeño pueblo en donde vive y viajar hasta Tokyo buscando una nueva vida, en el viaje a Tokyo conoce a Keisuke quien se será de gran ayuda al ofrecerle un trabajo en su pequeña empresa y a pesar de ser un personaje secundario cumple con su rol muy bien en la historia. Pronto conocemos a la otra protagonista de esta historia quien será Hina Amano, una joven quien vive sola con su pequeño hermano Nagi luego de que su madre muriera en un hospital y ahora deben tratar de sobrevivir por su cuenta. Tanto Hodoka como Hina buscan como ganarse la vida con cualquier trabajo posible hasta que se conocen y juntos deciden crear un pequeño negocio muy peculiar sobre el clima.
En esta historia existe la leyenda de las chicas Sol y Lluvia quienes pueden manipular de cierta forma el clima, y pronto descubrimos que Hina resulta ser una chica sol, ella tiene la capacidad de rezar y lograr detener la lluvia en una pequeña zona por un breve periodo de tiempo, provocando que aunque sea por poco tiempo, el sol salga a través de la tormenta e iluminé el sitio donde ella esta, creando un escenario hermoso al ver como un rayo de sol ilumina una parte de la ciudad y muestra como cesa la lluvia. Estando Tokyo azotado por anómalas tormentas de lluvia casi constante provoca que su negocio de chica sol que detiene la lluvia se vuelva muy popular.
En un principio podemos ver como el trascurso de la historia es bastante sencilla y con un enfoque alegre y relajado, Hina con ayuda de Hodoka y Nagi van atendiendo diferentes peticiones para hacer salir el sol y reuniendo bastante dinero, Hina con sus oraciones y Hodoka y Nagi sirviendo de apoyo comico con una vestimenta divertida. Al mismo tiempo vamos viendo como se crea la relación entre Hodoka y Hina en donde poco a poco se van encariñando y creando sentimiento románticas uno con el otro, aunque pronto la historia avanza a un trasfondo más melodramático y con un posible final trágico, se explica como Hina y Nagi tiene que vivir por su cuenta y como Hina se convirtió en Chica Sol debido a su tristeza por perder a su madre y su deseo de poder salir a caminar bajo el sol con ella una vez más, también muestra como la leyenda de las chicas sol siempre termina con un destino lleno de tragedia para las mismas y ahora Hina esta camino a esa misma tragedia.
Según la leyenda entre mas use una chica sol sus habilidades para rápido será reclamada como tributo por el cielo para lograr apaciguar el gran riesgo sobre la ciudad, como si de una especie de maldición y tributo se tratada, algo interesante en esta película es como el final no resulta ser el típico final feliz y termina demostrando como muchas veces no hay una decisión correcta y aunque pueda parecer algo egoísta, siempre debes tomar la decisión que te parezca correcta y entender que no eres un héroe legendario y no es tu responsabilidad sacrificarte para salvar a todo el mundo, por esto Hodoka decidí que quiere hacer todo lo que este a su alcance para poder salvar a Hina, sin impórtale que pase con el clima y que le suceda a la ciudad de Tokyo con las lluvias constantes.
Sin dudas el principal atractivo en Tenki No Ko es su historia y desenlace tan especial e inesperado, pero de igual forma sabe entretener y emocionar en todo momento con su gran calidad visual, escenas mágicas y místicas que generan un gran impacto, y como en la mayoría de películas de este estilo, el soundtrack es increíble y sabe complementar muy bien las escenas con cada una de sus canciones. El resultado es una película bastante entretenida, con momentos divertido, dramáticos, tristes y hasta un poco llenos de acción, sin dudas una gran película para ver y cuyo final puede resultar único y diferente del resto, aunque también consigue dejar varias dudas sobre el destino de Tokyo.
