Have you noticed that I'm posting a lot of art-related blogs these days? It's because I'm on my summer break and I didn't take summer classes. My life's so boring and chill right now. The things that I do nowadays are so boring you might not be interested in them. Typical days like today, I just eat, surf the internet, take care of my youngest brother and fetch him home from school, and watch movies and series. The only thing that keeps me hyped is painting. I always get excited when I get to paint something and share it to all of you.

This is my achievement today! It's a painting that is inspired by one of Lydia Fenwick's artworks on instagram. I'm officially a fan of hers and I'll keep on making paintings that is somewhat related to hers because I find her artworks really amazing. Check them out, I totally love her style. So what's new today? COLOR PENCILS! I finally bought them! It's my birthday gift to myself hehe. I wanted to buy the Faber Castell or the Prismacolor coloring pencils but heck are they expensive. Still, so happy to have finally bought these. I'm really making this a career, eh? Anyways, enough chit-chat, let me present to you my process.

Materials

All photos are mine and I used my Oppo A37 in taking these pictures. And the materials that I used were: ✔️ Pentel Arts Color Pencils ✔️ White Pen ✔️ Water ✔️ Tissue ✔️ Watercolor set ✔️ Paintbrushes ✔️ Eraser ✔️ HB Staedtler pencil ✔️ Berkeley watercolor pad

Process

This artwork took me 3 hours to finish.

I did the sketch (I forgot to take a picture of the sketch without the watercolor). The next thing I did was apply watercolor on the skin and did some detailing on the shadow areas.

Then I applied color to her hair...

... and her eyes, brows, and horns.

Then I followed up details on her hair and horns and drew her lashes using color pencils. I also painted her pupils.

Then I darkened her brows and lips and then painted circles surrounding her and did some highlighting using a white pen.
