Entramos en el mes de septiembre, en el que se cumplen tres años desde que arrancó el testigo de @la-colmena, pero, lamentablemente, con una noticia que no es alentadora.
En el momento en que tomamos la decisión de correr nuestro propio nodo, había varios factores que nos llevaron a ello.
1. Luego de cuatro años como proyecto de curación, pensamos que era necesario ir más allá y plantearnos retos nuevos y diferentes.
2. Para ese momento, el testigo más importante que existía para la comunidad hispanohablante, que era @cervantes, había decidido cesar actividades en Hive y quedaba un vacío que había que llenar.
3. Sin demasiada ambición, teníamos la esperanza de llegar al top 50, en el ranking los testigos, de manera que, además de ser autosustentable el nodo, produjera ingresos adicionales que hicieran crecer el HP de @la-colmena y así tener una mayor influencia en la plataforma y, sobre todo, brindar un voto de mayor valor económico a los usuarios de habla hispana.

We are now entering September, which marks three years since @la-colmena launched its own witness node, but unfortunately, we have some discouraging news.
When we made the decision to run our own node, there were several factors that led us to do so.
1. After four years as a curation project, we thought it was necessary to go further and set ourselves new and different challenges.
2. At that time, the most important beacon for the Spanish-speaking community, @cervantes, had decided to cease activities on Hive, leaving a void that needed to be filled.
3. Without too much ambition, we hoped to reach the top 50 in the witness ranking so that, in addition to being self-sustaining, the node would generate additional income that would increase @la-colmena's HP and thus have a greater influence on the platform and, above all, provide a vote of greater economic value to Spanish-speaking users.
4. We wanted to be part of the blockchain, technically and directly.

La realidad es que esa meta no se ha logrado y, luego de haber alcanzado la posición 70, hemos ido bajando. Los últimos pagos que hemos hecho para cubrir los costos del servidor, hemos tenido que completarlos con parte de las recompensas de curación. Es decir, justo lo contrario de lo que nos habíamos planteado.
El nodo está pagado hasta el 28 de septiembre. Si hasta ese momento no ocurre algún milagro, como que consigamos un voto importante que nos haga subir de manera considerable en el ranking, desistiremos de su mantenimiento.
Así que para la próxima actualización que publiquemos, ya se habrán definido las cosas.
Sin embargo, creemos que aún tenemos mucho por hacer en Hive, así que estas no son noticias que nos harán detener y, más allá de lo que pase el 28 de septiembre, seguiremos adelante.
The reality is that this goal has not been achieved and, after reaching 70th position, we have been falling. The latest payments we have made to cover server costs have had to be supplemented with part of the curation rewards. In other words, exactly the opposite of what we had planned.
The node is paid for until September 28. If no miracle occurs by then, such as us getting an important vote that makes us climb significantly in the ranking, we will give up on its maintenance.
So by the time we publish the next update, things will have been decided.
However, we believe we still have a lot to do at Hive, so this is not news that will make us stop, and regardless of what happens on September 28, we will continue moving forward.

Tal como lo hemos venido haciendo de manera regular, cada mes estamos publicando la distribución de votos, separados por comunidades.
Aquí mismo incluimos el rendimiento que han tenido los curadores y los porcentajes que han aportado a la labor completa.
#### Importante
A partir del mes de agosto, @la-colmena volvió a la modalidad de los votos al 100%.
Hace un par de años habíamos cambiado a un voto al 70% para poder votar mayor cantidad de publicaciones. Sin embargo, esta modalidad venía fallando desde hace varios meses y no se estaban cumpliendo las cuotas semanales.
Afortunadamente, el cambio ya ha dado sus buenos resultados y hemos visto un cambio importante en nuestros resultados. De la misma manera, los usuarios ahora reciben un voto más significativo, pues así como el voto de @la-colmena es mayor, nuestro *trail*, que va abanderado por @curie, es significativamente mayor.

As we have been doing on a regular basis, each month we are publishing the distribution of votes, separated by communities.
Here we include the performance of the curators and the percentages they have contributed to the overall work.

Starting in August, @la-colmena returned to the 100% voting mode.
A couple of years ago, we had switched to 70% voting in order to vote on more posts. However, this method had been failing for several months and the weekly quotas were not being met.
Fortunately, the change has already yielded good results, and we have seen a significant change in our results. Similarly, users now receive a more meaningful vote, because just as @la-colmena's vote is greater, our trail, led by @curie, is significantly greater.
