Covers with a Bossa Nova Flavor
Covers don’t always match the originals, and while that’s often more of a psychological resistance to changing something that’s already good, sometimes the new versions pleasantly surprise us by achieving the same emotional effect as the original song.
On this rainy Tuesday, I was thinking of suggesting upbeat tracks to add some good vibes to a weather that often pulls us toward melancholy.
But since the Lord’s ways are unpredictable, while searching for the song September, I stumbled upon this cover by a girl I didn’t know, and I’m glad I discovered her—just like it happened with the covers of Behind Blue Eyes and Stand by Me, all infused with that Bossa flavor I never thought could be assimilated.

Covers con sabor a Bossa Nova
Los covers no siempre logran igualar a sus originales, y aunque esto sea más una resistencia psicológica a cambiar algo que ya es bueno, en otras ocasiones las versiones nos sorprenden gratamente por lograr un efecto igual al de la canción original.
En este lluvioso martes pensaba sugerir temas movidos que añadieran buena vibra a un clima que muchas veces nos arrastra hacia la melancolía.
Pero como los caminos del señor son impredecibles, mientras buscaba el tema September, me encontré con este cover de una chica que no conocía, pero que me alegra haber descubierto, al igual que me pasó con los covers de Behind Blue Eyes y de Stand by Me con ese sabor a Bossa que no creí pudieran ser posibles de asimilar.
