Hello 👋🏾👋🏾 Vegan. Hope y'all are doing great.
Welcome 😊 to my blog. I made a local dish today. Okro Soup is a very popular soup in Igbo and Yoruba tribe known for its sticky texture. Almost all the people in these tribes loves this soup and I'm sure you will love it if you try it.
Let's dive into the preparation.
Ingredients
500 grams Okro Soup 1 foliage of Pumpkin Leaves 50 grams of African Mango Seed 12 Cayenne ½ teaspoon of salt 60 millimeters of Palm Oil 1 bulb of Onion Vegetable Stock
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients by washing them and slicing the pumpkin leaves, chopping the okro, chopping the onion, crushing the pepper, crushing the African Mango seed…
Before cooking dry the pot you want to use to cook by heating it till the water 💦 drop in it steams off. *Then pour in your oil, then the onion, then the African Mango Seed, the vegetable stock, and now the chopped okro and allow to cook for about 5 minutes before finally adding the pumpkin leaves without turning them together. Then allow to cook for 5 minutes so as not to overcook the leaves. Don't forget to add the salt and pepper, I added mine to the vegetable stock.
Note: Cook with medium heat. *means sauté while adding.
The meal is very delicious and can be enjoyed with eba, fufu or alone.
