*Oopsie-daisy! ๐ผ This little trumpet vine got off the truck in the wrong community at first (hello, LeoFinance! ๐ฐ๐), but now it has climbed its way into the perfect garden of nature lovers. ๐๐ฟ * During one of my trucking routes through Germany, I had a chance to visit the Botanical Garden in HEIDELBERG โ a place that turned out to be a real paradise for anyone who loves plants and photography. ๐ฟ๐ธ
Between all the shades of green and the hum of bees, this fiery beauty caught my eye โ CAMPSIS RADICANS, also known as the Trumpet Vine or Cow-Itch Vine. Its vivid red flowers look like they were painted by the sun itself. โ๏ธ
Originally from the southeastern United States, this climbing plant has become quite popular in Europe too. It loves the heat, spreads quickly, and can climb walls, trees, or fences up to 10 meters high! No wonder itโs often called โthe trumpet that plays summer.โ ๐บ
Whatโs fascinating is that Campsis radicans is a magnet for hummingbirds and butterflies โ true lovers of nectar and color. ๐ฆ๐ But beware! As lovely as it looks, the plantโs sap can cause skin irritation โ thatโs why its nickname โCow Itch Vineโ isnโt accidental. ๐
Itโs one of those species that perfectly blend beauty and wildness โ bold, vibrant, and unstoppable. And just like a traveler on the road, it always finds a way to reach the light. ๐
