A Day of Smiles: A Fun-Filled Day with My Family

Hello everyone! How are you?  Its been a weeks before I published my blog and I'm very sorry for that. My story happened a few days ago, but I was so busy that I forgot to publish it;(. It was finally my 3days off—a rare break from the usual rush of the week. My sister and I decided to make the most of it, so we headed straight to our favorite store, Dali. Honestly, it’s our little happy place; everything there is affordable, and somehow, it always feels like an adventure each time we visit.     Okay! Let's move. We bought our favorite drink, which is Twist-O. She chose orange flavor, while I chose apple—it might seem simple, but it felt like a small, healthy reward for the both of us. She bought some junk food and let me pay for it. We stopped at a bakery shop to buy tasty bread and juice for the others. When I arrived at home, I was completely tired; that's why I slept first 😴😴. When I woke up, the first thing that came to my mind was to get some coffee. Still feeling a little groggy, I dragged myself to the kitchen. The aroma of coffee filled the air as I waited for it to brew—that rich, comforting scent that always brings me back to life. ☕I took a sip, and as soon as I turned around, I saw my sister was already munching on the junk food we bought, watching her favorite series like nothing else mattered. I joined her, and soon enough, we were both laughing at the silly scenes, sharing chips, and talking about random things—from our childhood memories to what we wanted for dinner. After we watched the series, Mom came back from the market. She took a short break and then started cooking. First, she cooked the tougi and fried some tofu. This is my favorite, so I will never get tired of it, because besides being delicious, it is also very nutritious—its smell even overpowers the tea, so every time you inhale its smell, it makes you feel refreshed. After that, she cooked the fried chicken next. This is my favorite because it's like taking out from Jollibee or McDo. It's really crispy, and the gravy sauce is also great. I can only say one thing— Yum😋. Mom is really good at cooking. I really want to learn from her. Especially when there is a birthday or celebration. When Mom finished cooking, she gave my siblings a bath because soon she would be going home to Dad to pick us up. We had already planned to go to church, especially on All Souls' Day. When we were all done getting ready, Dad arrived. We rode his tricycle full of joy and with a smile on every face. It's really fun when the family is together whenever there are occasions or even when there are none.   When we arrived at the church, the mass had not yet started.  We looked for a seat inside where there were statues of saints. After the church service, we went to the back of the church to stand on the altar and pray for our deceased relatives. I suddenly missed my sister and grandmother. I would be happier if they were still here and with me. But even though it hurts, we must accept the truth. I just hope they are happy wherever they are now; may they guide me and us every day.  After we lit the candles, we went home. We didn't bother waiting for Dad because we knew he was still on a trip, so we just went home. But my sister and I left him at Vista Mall to wander around. When we were tired, we decided to go home.  When we were almost home, my sister suddenly invited us to have milk tea in tealosophy. We chose cookies and cream, and this milk tea wasssssss sooooo... Super yummy!!!! 😋 It's a sweet, creamy drink that tastes like vanilla and chocolate cookies mixed together. The cookie bits make it kind of crunchy and fun to drink. It's really good when you want something sweet and cold! The milk tea has tiny, chewy balls called sago. They're like little bouncy surprises in your drink! They don't have much taste, but they add a fun texture that makes the milk tea even more interesting. It's like a party in your mouth!
