***English*** ### **Transforming Places** Warm greetings, friends of the Street Art community, when we pass by a place repeatedly, it becomes routine, and we get tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. That happened to me some time ago when I wanted to take a shorter route to work. I always saw the desolate road, the eroded walls, the place wasn't very attractive, but it was a quicker way to get to work, until the day I retired. It had actually been years since I'd passed by that place, and for paperwork reasons, I've returned. And you won't believe me, I couldn't remember the location, and I'd look for the dull wall and couldn't find it. >***Español*** >### **Transformando Lugares** >Un afectuoso saludo, amigos de la comunidad de StreetArt, cuando pasamos por un lugar repetidas veces, se convierte en rutina y nos cansamos de ver lo mismo siempre. Eso me pasó algún tiempo cuando quería acortar el camino para ir a trabajar. Siempre veía el camino desolado, las paredes roídas, el lugar no era muy atrayente, pero era más rápido para llegar a tu lugar de trabajo, hasta que llegó el día en que me jubilaron. Realmente tenía años que no pasaba más por ese lugar y, por razones de trámites de documento, he vuelto. Y no van a creerme, no recordaba el sitio y buscaba la pared sin gracia y no la ubicaba.   As everything changes, I came across this beautiful mural, a wall that had been abandoned for a long time. Now it has become the source of inspiration for an artist, who with his skill transformed the wall into a true work of art. Not only that, it managed to make passersby stop and break the monotony of everyday life. Now they comment, observe, and admire. The gloomy place has become a place filled with magical colors and charged with energy that transmits emotions to those who pass by. With just those brushstrokes, the space came alive, creating an atmosphere of charm and beauty. >Como todo cambia, me he encontrado con este hermoso mural, una pared que estuvo en abandono por mucho tiempo. Ahora pasó a ser la fuente de inspiración de un artista, que con su habilidad transformó el muro en una verdadera obra de arte. Y no solo eso, logró que el transeúnte se detuviera y rompiera la monotonía de todos los días. Al presente comentan, observan y admiran. El lugar sombrío pasó a ser un sitio con magia de colores y cargado de energías que transmite emociones a los que pasan por ahí. Con solo esas pinceladas el espacio cobró vida, creando una atmósfera de encanto y belleza.   If I had to find a meaning for the mural or what the artist wanted to convey on that canvas, I would say that the transformation is in us and in the effort we make to have the ability to change the environment by painting the gray places and turning them into vibrant spaces, full of figures and shapes, where young people can dream big. As we know, murals have the power to empower the community, making them identify with their culture, traditions and unite for the common good. >Si tuviera que buscarle un significado al mural o lo que el artista quiso transmitir en ese lienzo, diría que la transformación está en nosotros y en el esfuerzo que hagamos todo para tener la capacidad de cambiar el entorno pintando los lugares grises y convertirlos en espacios vibrantes, llenos de figuras y formas, donde los jóvenes puedan soñar en grande, Como sabemos, los murales tienen el poder de empoderar a la comunidad, haciendo que se identifiquen con su cultura, tradiciones y se unan por el bien común  This mural can be found on Casanova Avenue in Caracas. We found the author on @Instagram Francisco Barroso (Fran Desh), an excerpt taken from his own words: "This time we gave color to Casanova Avenue with this extraordinary wall. I not only identify with the wall but with the community, which was quite receptive and empathetic with the transformation of the space." He also thanked other artists who collaborated in the creation of this extraordinary mural. >Es mural lo podemos encontrar en la Avenida Casanova en Caracas, el autor lo encontramos en @Instagram Francisco Barroso (Fran Desh), un fragmento extraído de sus propias palabras “Esta vez le dimos color a la AV Casanova con este extraordinario muro, no solo me identifico con la pared si no con la comunidad que fue bastante receptiva y empática con la transformación del espacio”. Además, agradeció también a otros artistas que colaboraron en la realización de este extraordinario mural.
