Después de la tormenta lo que queda es la calma. Hoy al despertar y luego hacer mi rutina diaria de agradecimiento, hacer café para mi esposa y para mí, hacer mis ejercicios, y mientras estaba tomando la foto y veía ese hermoso cielo así, aun a oscuras, totalmente despejado de nubes oscuras, pero ya con los reflejos del gran astro rey, el señor Sol, asomándose por el horizonte en lo primero que pensé fue en esa frase:
Después de la tormenta lo que queda es la calma.
No es mía esa frase, sin embargo, es tan universal que pienso que es de todos, porque cualquiera puede coincidir con esa frase después de tener un día anterior donde fue un día de tormentas y un poco de destrucción por árboles caídos en varias zonas de lechería y Barcelona. De hecho desde aquí en mi apartamento los vientos huracanados eran tan fuertes que me puse al pendiente porque las ventanas se sacudían mucho.
Después de todo lo que les comento del día anterior, ahí estaba yo, en silencio, después de tomar el café, viendo cómo el cielo se limpiaba solo, como si la noche hubiera barrido con todo lo que dolía. Ese momento yo filosofando me recordó que la vida también se reinicia así: sin hacer ruido, sin pedir permiso, simplemente sigue. El sol no pregunta si estamos listos, él sale igual y que belleza de salida con esos colores únicos que yo puedo ver desde mi apartamento.
Y después de todo eso, nosotros, con nuestras pequeñas rutinas, con nuestras manos que sirven café para la mujer que amo, con nuestros cuerpos que se mueven, aunque duelan por el cansancio, también salimos. Salimos a vivir, a agradecer, a mirar el cielo y decir: “Aquí estoy, todavía.”
Porque cada lunes es eso: una oportunidad para volver a empezar. No importa cuán fuerte haya sido la tormenta, si hoy hay calma, entonces hay esperanza. Y si hay esperanza, hay camino. Y si hay camino, hay propósito. Y si hay propósito, hay vida.
Como dice el refrán… El sol no espera por nadie. Pero siempre sale para todos.
Solo dedícate a ser feliz encontrar tu luz, segundo a segundo.
My Monday Morning Sunrise
The calm that comes
After the storm, what remains is calm. This morning, after waking up and going through my daily gratitude routine, making coffee for my wife and myself, doing my exercises, and while I was taking a photo and looking at that beautiful sky—still dark, yet completely free of storm clouds, already touched by the first reflections of the great king star, Mr. Sun, rising over the horizon—the first thing that came to mind was that phrase:
After the storm, what remains is calm.
That phrase isn’t mine, but it’s so universal that I believe it belongs to all of us. Anyone can relate to it after having a day like the one before—a day of storms and a bit of destruction from fallen trees in several areas of Lechería and Barcelona. In fact, from here in my apartment, the hurricane-like winds were so strong that I stayed alert because the windows were shaking intensely.
After everything I’ve just told you about the previous day, there I was, in silence, after drinking my coffee, watching how the sky seemed to clean itself, as if the night had swept away everything that hurt. That moment, as I sat there philosophizing, reminded me that life also resets like that: quietly, without asking for permission—it simply continues. The sun doesn’t ask if we’re ready; it rises anyway. And what a beautiful sunrise it was, with those unique colors I get to see from my apartment.
And after all that, we too, with our small routines, with our hands that serve coffee to the woman we love, with our bodies that move even when tired and aching, we also rise. We rise to live, to give thanks, to look at the sky and say: “I’m still here.”
Because every Monday is just that: a chance to begin again. No matter how strong the storm was—if today there is calm, then there is hope. And if there is hope, there is a path. And if there is a path, there is purpose. And if there is purpose, there is life.
