It was rather strange, its been so many years, that the details are blurred. As far as I remember Joanne has almost just arrived to Copenhagen from Brasilia, Brazil. One night, maybe 1-3 days after her arrival (as far as I know we got contact on the 10th of january 2007 and she arrived in Copenhagen march 23, as far as I remember, but if my stories gets historical, maybe its possible to double check that in public records), she woke me up in the middle of the night and pointed to the living room... I woke up and saw "blue lights" blinking in the living room, when I got the window, we saw a man in a bag on the street just 3 stares down from us. There was police all over the crime scene and I remember an older police with a "Sherlock Holmes" pibe, or some sort of a pibe at the crime scene.
I told her that we should go back into bed and she did. At that time I worked as a student at the "main prosecutors office" inside of Copenhagen, coincidentally I actually met the current "main prosecutor" in the elevator and told him about the scene that night, he had not hear about it "yet" (I guess yet), as I guess he might get some sort of report when there is a murder, I am not sure. Anyway it was the first time we spoke, and I think I only spoke briefly one more time doing that employment, he was like at the top of the system, I was at the bottom.
Anyway it was strange the whole thing. The next day a police man knocked at our door. He asked if we had seen anything and we told him that we only saw after the fact when the police was here. He was asking who Joanne was, she barely spoke English at the time and he was curious what she did in my apartment, she was officially a turist at the time, but staying with me as my girl friend. After we told him that he seemed suspicious but he accepted the explanation.
