Craft made with cardboard cylinders, a sweet pair of monkeys (ENG/ESP)

Hello fellow DIYers! Good evening from my country. I hope you're having a great week. Today I'm sharing a craft project: a beautiful pair of monkeys, as part of my inspiration for the day. Today I passed by a zoo and stood watching a cute pair of monkeys, and I went home with the idea of ​​recreating them with recycled materials, and that's what I did, to inspire me for the contest of the month, this turns out to be a start, a trial run to then return making my entry to the contest of the month. Materials: - Cardboard cylinder - Sponge scrap - Felt scrap - Skin-colored paper - Brown acrylic paint - Ruler, pencil, fine-tip marker - Craft knife, hot glue gun, glue stick, scissors > Materiales: - Cilindro de cartón - Retazo de esponja - Retazo de fieltro - Hoja de papel color piel - Pintura al frío marrón - Regla, lápiz, marcador, punta fina - Cúter, pistola para silicona, barra de silicona, tijera

I started by measuring the height of the monkeys' bodies, so I used a ruler and a pencil to measure and mark the height of each of the pieces I was going to make. Then I cut using a cutter to make a neat cut. In this cutting process, I made 4 pieces: 2 pieces of 4 and 6 cm, for what would be the body, and 2 pieces of 5 cm for the head. > Comencé midiendo la altura del cuerpo de los monos. Para ello, usé una regla y un lápiz para marcar la altura de cada pieza que iba a hacer. Luego, corté con un cúter para obtener un corte limpio. En este proceso de corte, hice cuatro piezas: dos de 4 y 6 cm, que formarían el cuerpo, y dos de 5 cm para la cabeza.

Then, with the remaining material, cut out the rest of the pieces, such as the ears, legs, and arms. > Luego, con el material restante, corte el resto de las piezas, como las orejas, piernas y brazos.

Paint the pieces with brown paint, using a piece of sponge to give the color a textured effect, let it dry for several minutes and then continue. > Pinte las piezas con pintura marrón, usando un trozo de esponja, para darle efecto de textura al color, deje secar por varios minutos para luego continuar.

After the paint has dried, place one of the pieces to mark and cut some sponge circles; this is another piece you need to continue accumulating important parts. > Una vez seca la pintura, coloque una de las piezas para marcar y cortar círculos de esponja; esta es otra pieza que necesita para seguir acumulando partes importantes.

And to bring the sponge pieces to life, I made apple-like shapes with skin-colored paper and pink felt, then glued them on and they were ready to have their facial features added. > Y para dar vida a las piezas de esponja, hice formas parecidas a manzanas con papel color piel y fieltro rosa, luego las pegué y ya estaban listas para añadirle los rasgos faciales.

With a charcoal pencil I drew eyes, nose and mouth, after everything was well positioned I colored it with a fine-tip gel marker, and I finished by coloring the cheeks with pink chalk, and they turned out very pretty. > Con un lápiz de carbón dibujé ojos, nariz y boca, después que todo quedo bien posicionado lo que hice fue darle color con el marcador de gel punta fina, y terminé coloreando las mejillas con tiza rosada, y así quedando muy bonitas.

The next step was to add hands and feet to the arms and legs. To do this, I cut out shapes of hands and feet on skin-colored paper and glued them on with some silicone. For the ears, I glued on pieces of pink felt. The design of the ears is not circular, it is slightly oval. > El siguiente paso fue añadir manos y pies a los brazos y piernas. Para ello, recorté figuras de manos y pies en papel color piel y las pegué con silicona. Para las orejas, pegué trozos de fieltro rosa. El diseño de las orejas no es circular, sino ligeramente ovalado.

From this step came the exciting part: assembling the pieces. So, with silicone and a lot of curiosity to see the result, I glued the pieces together piece by piece, first gluing the faces to the inside of the cardboard circle, then gluing the ears, making a semi-circular cut in them so that they would stick well to the sides of the monkeys' heads, then gluing the arms and legs. > A partir de este paso se vino la parte emocionante el armado de las piezas, así que con silicona y mucha curiosidad en ver el resultado pegue las piezas parte por parte, pegando primero las caritas en la parte interna del círculo de cartón, luego pegue las orejas, las mismas les realicen un corte semi -circular para que se fijen bien a los lados de la cabeza de los monos, luego pegue los brazos y piernas.  | |-|- |
