I'm so excited. Today is just hours before the end of the naturalDIY contest of the month. I thank God above all for the opportunity to be here in time to share my third initiative with you, just a few hours before the contest ends. I was busy with errands last week, and this week I was planning on doing the same, but luckily some got canceled. So I went out to the yard and noticed how many dead branches remained from the tree that we could prune at home. This tree was a great inspiration for me. I found a chair and sat under the tree to observe those branches. Many ideas came to me, but there was one that I really liked.
I've always loved going outdoors for a coffee, feeling the breeze, and the shade provided by the trees, so I decided to create an apple-shaped coffee mug. This design was quite a challenge. At first, I wasn't entirely clear about my ideas, but as I developed each idea in my mind, I thought about how I was going to join the pieces together and achieve a shape with pieces of wooden sticks, something so rigid. I didn't want to use hot glue to glue them together, or any shape that would alter a natural object. At that moment, I remembered some natural fiber rope I had in my craft supply box. At that moment, I began making the mug, since with this rope I could solve the missing step.

> Estoy muy emocionada, hoy a solo horas de culminar el concurso del mes naturaldiy, Doy gracias a Dios ante todo, por la oportunidad de llegar a tiempo para compartirles mi iniciativa número 3 a pocas horas de que finalice el concurso, estuve cargada de diligencias la semana pasada y esta semana iba por las mismas, pero por suerte hubo algunas que se cancelaron, así que salí al patio y me puse a observar como todavía quedaban muchas ramas secas del árbol que podamos en casa, este árbol fue de mucha inspiración para mí, busque una silla y me senté debajo del árbol a observar esas ramas, fueron muchas las ideas que me surgieron, pero hubo una que me gusto mucho.
> Siempre me ha gustado salir al aire libre a tomar un café, sentir la brisa y la sombra que aportan los árboles, así que decidí crear una poza taza para café con forma de manzana, este diseño era todo un reto, al principio no tuve muy clara las ideas, pero mientras iba desarrollando cada idea en mi mente, pensé como iba a hacer para unir las piezas y lograr una forma, con trozos de palos de madera, algo tan rígido; no quería usar silicona caliente para pegar, ni ninguna forma que fuera alterar un artículo de vida natural, en ese momento recordé una cuerda de fibra natural que tenía en mi caja de artículos para manualidades, en este momento comencé a realizar la poza taza, ya que con esta cuerda podía solucionar el paso que me faltaba.

On a recycled sheet of paper, I drew a pattern in the shape of an apple. It was my condensed vision of what my project would look like.
Then I cut out the shape and measured the approximate size of the wooden sticks that would form the wooden branch cup.

I measured the branches and marked where I was going to cut each piece, cut several branches of wood with the hacksaw blade, accumulated the necessary amount and continued.

On the paper pattern, I positioned each piece of wood to get an idea of how it would look when finished. I then took the rope and began to join each branch together, trying not to lose the shape I wanted to achieve.

I loved the finished result. I didn't think it would look so beautiful because the step of securing each piece with the string wasn't easy. While joining the pieces, I had to hold the string while tying the knots, and if it lost tension, everything would be a total mess.
To finish and debut my beautiful poza taza, I decorated it with some green leaves, which looked absolutely beautiful on this poza taza, inspired by the delicious apple fruit.
