Hello everyone and happy weekend! I hope you had a wonderful Saturday at home, enjoying a hot coffee or a refreshing drink with family or friends. As for me, I'm getting back into my skills and practicing new knitting techniques. After two weeks at my parents' house, I had stopped doing the things I love so much, like knitting, sewing, and countless other crafts. I think it happens to all of us, and we wish we had more time for them.
Yesterday, my niece told me she's taking an ice cream-making course in her community, and this week will be her first presentation. She asked me to knit her something quick and pretty to wear, related to ice cream, so tomorrow she's coming to bring me the necessary materials, like yarn and a few other things. And since I know she loves the earrings I've knitted, I was really excited to help her.
Today I couldn't resist. I started thinking and decided to knit her some ice cream cone earrings, which I saw online. So I decided to use the yarn I still had lying around, enough to make several earrings.
I didn't think twice and got to work knitting the earrings to surprise my niece, who has no idea they're already ready to wear.
I hope you like how they turned out. It wasn't easy because I didn't follow any tutorials, but I did my best to make them look as good as possible, with lots of love and inspiration for my niece, which is ultimately what matters most: making that loved one happy who adores our work and ideas.

En cuanto a mí, estoy retomando mis habilidades y practicando nuevas técnicas de tejido. Después de dos semanas en casa de mis padres, había dejado de hacer las cosas que tanto me gustan, como tejer, coser y un sinfín de otras manualidades. Creo que nos pasa a todos, y desearíamos tener más tiempo para ellas.
> Ayer, mi sobrina me contó que está tomando un curso de elaboración de helados en su comunidad, y esta semana será su primera presentación. Me pidió que le tejiera algo rápido y bonito para usar, relacionado con el helado, así que mañana vendrá a traerme los materiales necesarios, como lana y algunas otras cosas. Y como sé que le encantan los pendientes que tejí, me emocionó mucho ayudarla.
> Hoy no me pude resistir. Me puse a pensar y decidí tejerle unos pendientes de cono de helado, que vi en internet. Así que decidí usar la lana que aún tenía por ahí, suficiente para hacer varios pendientes.
> Sin pensarlo dos veces, me puse a tejer los pendientes para sorprender a mi sobrina, que no tiene ni idea de que ya están listos para usar.
> Espero que les gusten. No fue fácil porque no seguí ningún tutorial, pero hice todo lo posible para que quedaran lo mejor posible, con mucho cariño e inspiración para mi sobrina, que al final es lo que más importa: hacer feliz a esa persona especial que adora nuestro trabajo e ideas.

To begin, make a simple knot plus 3 chain stitches, then chain 1
and in the second chain stitch make a double crochet plus 1 chain stitch, turn the work over, chain 2, plus 3 double crochets, turn this step over again and make the next row, where chain 2 and make 6 double crochets and I kept increasing by 2 double crochets with the same sequence of chain stitches to form the cone of a boat with beige crochet thread which seemed super suitable for this work.
> Para empezar a realizar un nudo sencillo más 3 ptos de cadena, después levante 1
Cadena y en segundo punto cadena realiza un punto alto más 1 punto de cadena, le di la vuelta al tejido, levante 2 ptos cadena, más 3 puntos altos, volvió a darle vuelta a este paso y realiza la próxima línea, donde levante 2 ptos de cadena y realiza 6 puntos altos y fui haciendo aumentos de 2 puntos altos con la misma secuencia de puntos cadenas para forma el cono de barquilla con hilo de crochet color beige que me pareció super adecuado para este trabajo.

I tried to make them look as much like cones as possible; however, some stitches weren't quite right, even though I tried to make them identical.
For the cone-shaped sections, I used pink, green, and purple yarn to represent strawberries, blackberries, and lemons. In this step, I crocheted the sections using puff stitches.
> Trate de hacer lo más parecido a los conos, sin embargo, hubo puntos que no quedaron exactos, aunque trate de hacerlos iguales, se me escapo algún punto.
> Para las porciones de la barquilla utilicé hilos de color rosado, verde y morado, como para hacer la alusión de la fresa, mora y limón, en este paso tejí las porciones con puntos puff.

Arranging the puff dots of the portions, I combined the colors, and shaped this ice cream cone.
> Ordenando los puntos puff de las porciones, combine los colores, y le di forma a este cono de helado.
When I finished crocheting both earrings, I remembered I had some brown pearl earrings, and they were a perfect match because they look like little extra chocolate pieces. With the whole color effect, I think my niece will be admired wearing her earrings at the exhibition.
