A few days ago I was brainstorming ideas. I wanted to do something new, I wanted to surprise you with something attractive, so I thought about making a choker. It was a very appealing idea, but I didn't want to make it with flowers, although I love them. I wanted to try a different way of knitting. Although it may seem simple, sometimes it's difficult to create new shapes. For now, I thought about the fact that we still have time to enjoy our vacation at the beach. This is where the idea of knitting a starfish-inspired choker to wear on the beach came to me.
The material I used was well thought out. I knitted with wool. Wool is soft, lightweight, and holds its shape beautifully when exposed to water. It also dries quickly.

> Hace días estaba creando ideas en mi mente, quería hacer algo nuevo, quería sorprenderlos con algo atractivo, así que pensé en hacer una gargantilla, fue una idea muy atractiva, pero no quería hacerla con flores, aunque me encantan, pero quería probar una forma diferente al tejer, y es que aunque parezca sencillo a veces nos cuesta hacer nuevas formas, por ahora pensé en que todavía estamos a tiempo de disfrutar las vacaciones en la playa, aquí fue donde me surgió la idea de tejer una gargantilla con inspiración en las estrellas de mar para lucirlo en la playa.
> El material que use fue bien pensado, tejí con lana, la lana es suave, liviana, y se mantiene hermosa en su forma, al estar en contacto con el agua, además es de secado rápido.

Steps.
I started by crocheting the stars first, since it was my first time crocheting stars, and I was eager to see how they would turn out.
To make the first star, I started with a magic ring of 10 chain stitches, then picked up 6 chains. From the second chain stitch, I slipped 1 stitch, then crocheted 1 single crochet into the next chain, followed by a half double crochet, and finished with 2 double crochets. I cast off the first point of the star, 2 chain stitch spaces above the magic ring. I cast off with 1 slip stitch. I repeated the process to form each of the star's 5 points.

Empecé tejiendo las estrellas, ya que era mi primera vez tejiendo estrellas y tenía muchas ganas de ver cómo quedaban.

The second star I knitted was the green one. I reduced the chain stitches by 2, leaving it at 4, because the yarn was thicker and I didn't want to overdo it. However, the stitch pattern is still the same as the previous step; we're just going to reduce the chain stitch by 1 stitch when making the shape. These fewer stitches are the middle stitch. This leaves 1 slip stitch, 1 single crochet, and 2 double crochet stitches.
> La segunda estrella que tejí fue la verde. Reduje los puntos de cadena en 2, dejándolos en 4, porque el hilo era más grueso y no quería excederme. When I finished knitting 3 stars I thought that I should knit the chain cord to make the choker, and that is what I did, I knitted a chain cord, then I gave it texture with a line of single crochet stitches, and I finished by knitting some points all around the edge of 5 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch, 1 single crochet, this gives me the shape of points, then I knitted 3 chain stitches, I closed with a slip stitch, I repeated this step every 2 chain spaces to finish the entire edge of the choker, the result is beautiful.
> Cuando termine de tejer 3 estrellas pensé que debía tejer el cordón de cadenas para hacer la gargantilla, efectivamente fue lo que hice, tejí un cordón de cadenas, luego le di textura con una línea de puntos bajos, y termine tejiendo unas puntas por toda la orilla de 5 puntos de cadena, 1 punto deslizado, 1 punto bajo esto me da como resultado la forma de puntas, después tejí 3 puntos de cadena, cerré con un punto deslizado, este paso lo repetí cada 2 espacios de cadena para terminar todo el borde de la gargantilla el resultado es hermoso.
The next step was to sew the stars with the pearl in the center onto the choker. There was one aspect of this step that I wasn't convinced about. When I sewed the white star onto the choker, it got lost in its pearly color. I didn't like how it looked, so I decided to crochet an additional green star to make the set. I set aside the white star to make a simpler bracelet, which can be worn as a bracelet or as an anklet to match the choker.
> El siguiente paso fue coser las estrellas con la perla en el centro a la gargantilla. Hubo un aspecto de este paso que no me convenció. Al coser la estrella blanca, se perdió en su color perlado. No me gustó cómo se veía, así que decidí tejer otra estrella verde para completar el conjunto. Aparté la estrella blanca para hacer una pulsera más sencilla, que puede usarse como brazalete o tobillera a juego con la gargantilla.
I'm finishing up my work today. It's very easy to make, and the result is spectacular. It's great for a day at the beach or any other occasion.
