It's been a while since I did anything sewing. I think I've been very drawn to knitting these days, so I decided to give sewing some love again and stop thinking so much about the desire to knit. This weekend I dedicated a good amount of time to sewing. I have orders from my daughter and that's what I did. I started transforming some dresses that she loves, for the comfort and freshness on these hot days. She asked me to modify the look of her used dresses. She wants to continue wearing them. She wants something nice, a different design than what they were. It was a big task she set me. So this weekend I started with a blue dress with white and fuchsia stripes. Its design is a rubberized top, only the rubberized fabric was already stretched. I want to surprise her with it. A completely different design, an improvised design that came to me from an initial idea I wanted to make. I'll explain later how this transformation of my daughter's first recycled dress was possible.
I hope you like how it turned out. I'd like you to see my daughter wearing this dress, since I don't fit into this one; it's a size S, and I've been wearing a size M for a while.
But my daughter isn't traveling to visit her dad right now, and while I'm just starting her orders, at least I already have one ready that I love.

> Hace ya un buen rato que no confeccionaba algo de costura, creo que estos días he andado muy atraída el tejido, así que me propuse volver a darle amor a la costura y dejar de pensar tanto en las ganas de tejer, este fin de semana le dedique un buen tiempo a la costura, tengo encargos de mi hija y eso fue lo que hice, comencé a transformarle unos vestidos que a ella le encantan, por la comodidad y frescura en estos días calurosos, y me pidió que le modificara el aspecto, a sus vestidos usados, que quiere seguir usándolos, quiere algo lindo un diseño diferente a lo que eran, fue una gran tarea la que me puso, así que este fin de semana comencé con un vestido azul con franjas de color blanco y fucsia, su diseño es un top engomado, solo que ya el engomado estaba estirado, quiero sorprenderla con un diseño totalmente distinto un diseño improvisado que me salió a partir de una idea inicial que quería hacer, luego les explico, como fue posible esta transformación del primer vestido reciclado de mi hija.
> Espero les guste como quedo, me gustaría que vieran a mi hija usando este vestido, ya que en este vestido yo no entro, es un vestido talla S, y hace tiempo que uso talla M.
> Pero mi hija ahora no está de viaje visitando a su papá y mientras que yo apenas estoy comenzando con sus encargos, por lo menos ya tengo uno listo que me encanta.

My daughter's blue dress had been shelved for a long time because my daughter wanted to keep wearing it, since it was a gift from my best friend, whom we both love very much.
Thinking about all this, we wanted to give it a second chance, so we could keep wearing it.
Well, without further ado, I'll start by telling you how I gave this outfit a different twist, so I could stay comfortable and cool at home.
I cut the part of the dress that had an elastic band, but it was already quite stretched out and didn't look right. I used this part to design part of the new top design for this dress.
Then I also cut a part of the skirt of the dress, which was quite wide, along the back where the closing seam goes. It was a way to use even more fabric to complete the top.

> Bien, sin más preámbulos, comenzaré a comentarles como fue que le di un giro diferente, a este atuendo, para estar en casa cómoda, y fresca,
> Corte la parte del vestido que tenía un engomado, pero que ya estaba bastante estirado, no lucia bien, esta parte que corte, la utilice para diseñar parte del nuevo diseño del top de este vestido
> Luego también corte una parte de la falda del vestido que era bastante amplia, corte por la parte trasera por donde va la costura de cierre, fue una forma de aprovechar aún más la tela para completar el top.
Completing the top pieces, I began sewing it on the sewing machine, first sewing the bias bindings, the armholes, and the neckline, both on the front and back pieces.
I also liked the idea of adding ribbons in the same color as the ribbons on the lower hemline, for the waistline.
> Completando las piezas del top, comencé a coserlo en la máquina, cosiendo primero los sesgos, dé las sisas y del escote, tanto de la pieza trasera y delantera.
> También me gusto la idea de colocarle una cintas del mismo color que las cintas de la franja inferior del ruedo, para la parte de la cintura.

The seam was a success. I sewed straight and zigzag stitches to ensure the seam was straight and could come loose due to sudden movements, which can damage or tear garments if they have fragile seams.
> La costura fue un éxito cosí en recta y zigzag para asegurar la costura recta de posibles desprendimientos por algún movimiento brusco que a veces hacemos y se nos pueden dañar o romper las prendas de vestir si tienen una costura frágil.

When I finished sewing the front and back pieces of the top that I was going to join both pieces I realized that the pieces did not match because one was too high, this was the back piece, on this I began to meditate like aria and that is when I came up with an idea that was to fold and cut the piece in half and place them on both sides to make a design with an open back. Wow, what a great idea I had, not everything is a fiasco as my daughter says, this was beautiful, a beautiful improvised design, very Fashionable in a dress for the summer.
> Cuando termine de coser las piezas del top delantero y trasero que fui a unir ambas piezas me di cuenta que las piezas no coincidían porque una me quedo muy alta, esta fue la pieza trasera, en esto me puse a meditar como aria y en eso se me ocurrió una idea que era doblar y cortar la pieza por la mitad y colocarlas en ambos lados para hacer un diseño con la espalda descubierta vaya que gran idea me surgió no todo es un fiasco como dice mi hija esto fue hermoso un diseño improvisado hermoso muy Fashions en un vestido para el verano.

At this point, I put all the ideas into a good sewing machine, the result was fabulous. Then, I cut off the excess fabric from the sides, and with a needle and thread, I gathered the waist of the skirt to then sew it to the top. Finally, I sewed the braided straps that already came with the design of the previous top. It was that striking detail that I liked to continue using. And after all these sewing steps for the transformation of this dress for my daughter, it was very pleasant to know that I had already made one of the orders my daughter made me. This makes me feel very happy, friends.
