When it comes to choosing a province with lots of greenery and mountains to see, I would definitely suggest
Córdoba. Located in the center of our map of
Argentina, this place is full of beautiful places to visit. Plenty of nature everywhere, without sacrificing urbanization with all the services that come with it. A perfect example of this is the city of
Villa General Belgrano, where you can find beautiful landscapes and many new corners to discover no matter how many times you've visited ❤️.
Cuando se trata de elegir una provincia con mucho verde y montañas para ver, sin dudas yo sugeriría Córdoba. Ubicada en el centro de nuestro mapa de Argentina, este lugar está lleno de lugares hermosos para ver. Mucha naturaleza por todas partes, sin resignar urbanización con todos los servicios que eso incluye. Un ejemplo perfecto de esto es la ciudad de Villa General Belgrano, en donde se pueden encontrar hermosos paisajes y muchos rincones nuevos para descubrir sin importar cuántas veces la hayas visitado ❤️.

On our last family vacation, my dad and I visited this province together for the third time. This time, we headed to the Calamuchita Valley, a strategic location for exploring other nearby areas by bus. That's how we were able to travel to the neighboring city of Villa General Belgrano in less than half an hour. My dad was eager to explore this place, so we got up early and went for a walk.
En nuestras últimas vacaciones familiares, mi papá y yo visitamos juntos esta provincia por tercera vez. En esta oportunidad, fuimos hacia la zona del Valle de Calamuchita, una ubicación estratégica para recorrer otros puntos de los alrededores en bus. Así fue como en menos de media hora nos pudimos trasladar hasta la ciudad vecina a Santa Rosa: Villa General Belgrano. Mi papá tenía muchas ganas de conocer este lugar así que nos levantamos temprano y fuimos a dar un paseo.

This city, with its German architecture, is the national home of the famous Oktoberfest, so during those dates its streets are filled with people celebrating. But at the time of our visit in April, it was very low season, and there weren't many people around. This was a good way for us to explore the place in a relaxed and friendly way, taking photos of all the signs we saw.
Esta ciudad con su arquitectura alemana es la cede nacional del famoso Oktoberfest, por lo que para esas fechas sus calles se llenan de gente celebrando. Pero para el momento de nuestra visita en Abril, la temporada era muy baja y no había mucha gente dando vueltas. Esto nos vino bien para poder recorrer el lugar de forma tranquila y cholula, sacandonos fotos en todos los carteles que veíamos.

For me, this was the fourth time I'd visited this city, but since it was my dad's first, I naturally agreed to take the tour. I knew that, as always, I'd surely find something new to see, something I'd never seen before on my previous outings. And so it was, when we learned at the tourist office that we could access the large clock tower in the city's main building. Of course, you had to pay a $2 ticket, but that price was too low to get a good view of the city.
Para mí, esa fue la cuarta vez que visité esta ciudad a lo largo del tiempo, pero como para mi papá era la primera, por supuesto accedí al paseo. Sabía que, como siempre, seguramente encontraría algo nuevo para ver, algo inédito de mis paseos anteriores. Y así fue, cuando nos enteramos en la oficina de turismo que se podía acceder a la gran torre del reloj en el edificio principal de la ciudad. Por supuesto había que pagar un ticket de $2, pero ese precio era muy bajo como para obtener unas buenas vistas de la ciudad.

The clock tower has 80 steps in the form of a spiral staircase and a height of 23 meters. It's not really super high, but it was enough to get a great view from there. Once at the top, you found yourself in a small area with seating and some windows to look out. My dad and I were in good physical shape, but we still needed to catch our breath after all those steps.
La torre del reloj tiene 80 escalones en forma de escalera caracol y una altura de 23 metros. No es realmente super alto, pero era suficiente como para obtener unas grandes vistas desde ahí. Una vez arriba, te encontrabas con un pequeño recinto con asientos y unas ventanas para ver hacia afuera. Mi papá y yo estábamos en buen estado físico, pero igual tuvimos que recuperar un poco el aire después de todos esos escalones.

By midday, the light was perfect for seeing the brilliant landscape in all directions. The sun was at its highest point, illuminating all points of the compass. We couldn't have chosen a better time for this trip. From up there, you could see the entire city of Villa General Belgrano, which isn't that big either, and all the mountains near and far. Unfortunately for my dad, when we got down, I asked if there was any trekking possible in the nearby mountains, and they said yes, so no sooner had we finalized one plan than we had the next.
Para la hora del mediodía, la luz era perfecta para poder ver el paisaje brillante en todas las direcciones. El sol estaba en su punto más alto e iluminaba todos los puntos cardinales. No podríamos haber elegido un horario mejor para este paseo. Desde ahí arriba, se podía ver toda la ciudad de Villa General Belgrano, que tampoco es tan grande, y todas las montañas cercanas y lejanas. Para mala o buena suerte de mi papá, cuando bajamos pregunté si se podía hacer algún trekking en las montañas cerca y me dijeron que sí, así que apenas terminamos un plan, ya teníamos el siguiente.

I used to say I didn't really like visiting places I'd been to before, but over time I realized that even this has its benefits. By getting to know a little about the place beforehand, you can pay attention to other details you might have missed on your first few trips. Of the three previous times I'd visited this place, it had never occurred to me to ask if you could go up the tower (which, in fact, isn't posted anywhere, and they don't tell you at the tourist office outside).
So I was glad to have had another chance to explore this city, and now I've taken some beautiful postcards from above ❤️.
Antes yo decía que no me gustaba mucho visitar lugares en los que ya había estado antes, pero con el tiempo me dí cuenta de que incluso esto tiene un beneficio. Al conocer un poco del lugar previamente, podés prestar atención a otros detalles que quizás te perdiste en los primeros paseos. De las tres veces anteriores que había visitado este lugar, nunca se me había ocurrido preguntar si se podía subir a la torre (que de hecho, no está publicado en ningún lado, ni no preguntas en la oficina de turismo directamente no te lo dicen afuera). Así que me alegré de haber tenido una oportunidad más de recorrer esta ciudad, y ahora me llevé unas hermosas postales desde las alturas ❤️.
