Beating the Odds on the Baja Trail.

Starting from eighth place with the 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter, I struggled against faster racers on the Baja California Trail. Using strategic drifts, rewinds, and some aggressive moves, I climbed positions steadily. By 71% progress, I claimed the lead, holding it to the end and finishing first in 2:43 min. Today, it's about the 2014 Local Motors Rally Fighter in Baja California Trail. --- **Baja California Trail**  The route heads south from Lago Blanco, cutting straight through the deserts of Baja California. Once you hit the open dunes, it's all about building speed and holding it steady before making a fast break toward the coast.  I liked this car when I tried it for the first time, so I tried it again without a doubt in a 1-lap race where I started in 8th position, but more racers were getting ahead of me as they were faster.  I noticed I was not going to get ahead of them with my car's speed, so I had to try a different strategy. I tried a hard drift in full speed at a hard turn, and I messed it up.  Rewinding once fixed it for me, and I reached my initial position, which was the 8th position.   But this truck was not allowing me to hold my position. It kept trying to get ahead of me, and it was succeeding as it was faster, but I didn't allow it, and I pushed it out of the track, and it should've missed the checkpoint for me.   After getting ahead of a Jeep Trailcat, I reached this truck that was the same one that I lost behind, and getting ahead of it gave me the sixth position and later more opportunities.  I kept speeding up and tried a hard drift on another hard turn to get to the fourth position, and there, I had to try the rewind feature twice to get out of the messed-up situation.   I reached the third position at 63% progress, second at 69% and first at 71%. I was like unstoppable there, and I was leading all the racers.   I had to make sure I was in good speed, not let anyone get ahead of me, and most importantly, not mess it up, and I did it fine for the rest of the way.   And I finally finished first in 2:43 min.
