Hello, how are you? Another week of Still Here Still Life. I heard that they're going on break for the whole month. They deserve that break, it's sad, but also happy at the same time. I was able to use my oil pastels again, and I'm still weeks behind, so I can still complete their challenge before they return.
Materials I Used:

- Eraser
- Mechanical Pencil HB
The Process:

I sketch the reference, don't worry about the pencil sketch, it will be covered up when I start to layer it with oil pastel.

I started to outline the sketch with dark green oil pastel. When using oil pastel, they said that starting with a dark color is a must do just like oil paints.

Then I used this brown oil pastel to outline the color of the coffee or tea in the mug.

Using this yellow oil pastel, I outline the plate using it, it is okay if it is not a perfectly shaped circle, just go with the flow.

After that, I use this old rose oil pastel to outline the coaster of the boiled egg.

Using this yellow ochre oil pastel, I outlined the bread and the egg.

For the final line art, I used this red oil pastel to outline the coaster of the other boiled egg.

This time I am starting to layer and fill the outline of the oil pastel I drew way back, by the way, I use this gray-green oil pastel to do the layering.

Then I use this pale yellow to layer the color of the content inside the mug.

After that, I am starting to layer the plate with yellow shades, just trust the process.

After that, I started layering each outline with different shades.

For the final process, I'm adding shadows to the drawing and then more intense shades just to make it look more like a drawing, and finishing it with a layer of white oil pastel to add highlights to the drawing.

Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
Please take care of your mental health as well.
I hope you are okay today :))
