Personally, I recommend watching it again, but in its original language with subtitles. You will notice that there are quite a few differences between the two versions.

Overall, it's a pretty emotional movie. We all remember the famous scene where Ash turns to stone and all the Pokémon cry, bringing him back to life with their tears. That really touches the soul of a 9- or 10-year-old child.
