🟢 POLITOED & POLIWRATH 🔵
One card that went largely unnoticed but that I really liked is Politoed. At first glance, it doesn't seem like much. A Pokémon with 140 HP and an attack of 60 with 2 energy. The interesting thing is its ability. While it is on the bench, all Poliwhirl evolutions gain 40 attack. This means that if we have one Politoed on the bench and another in play, we can deal 100 damage with only 2 energy. And the best part is that this ability also applies to Poliwrath, which was released in the Genetic Apex expansion. So we could also deal 120 damage with 3 energy. The problem is that this mechanic takes a long time. It depends on getting two stage 2 Pokémon. Rare Candy helps a little, but it's not enough. A good option would be to combine this with Sylveon EX to speed up the deck.
Una carta que pasó muy desapercibida y que me gustó mucho es la de Politoed. Que a simple vista no parece la gran cosa. Pokémon de 140 de vida y un ataque de 60 con 2 energías. Lo interesante radica en su habilidad. Que hace que mientras esté en la banca, todas la evoluciones de Poliwhirl ganan 40 de ataque. Esta última combinación tengo admitir que no se me ocurrió a mí, la vi en un reel de Instagram. 😅 Básicamente, la estrategia se basa en alimentar a Gyarados.
