Hi, I’m Lea Ng, 37 years old, born on October 29, 1988, and proudly from the Philippines. I wear many hats in life, a teacher, a mother of two, and the breadwinner of my family. Life isn’t always easy, but every day I try my best to balance it all with love, faith, and a smile.

He loves science, and sometimes he surprises me with facts I don’t even know! My youngest is my sweet 3-year-old daughter, a pre-kinder learner who brings laughter and energy into our home. She’s at that stage where everything amazes her, from butterflies to crayons and it reminds me to appreciate life’s simple joys.

Being a mother is my greatest blessing, but it also comes with challenges. There are days when I’m exhausted after teaching the whole day. I still have to check lessons, prepare meals, and help with homework. But when I see my children happy, I know it’s all worth it. Their smiles make every sacrifice meaningful.

As a teacher, I’ve learned that patience isn’t just a skill, it’s a way of life. Every student has a story, and every story deserves to be heard. Teaching has taught me compassion and understanding, not only for others but also for myself. I may not be a perfect teacher or a perfect nanay, but I always give my best.

Life as a breadwinner can be tough. There are times when responsibilities feel heavy, but I remind myself that I’m doing this for the people I love. My family depends on me, and that keeps me strong. There were moments when I doubted myself, wondering if I could keep going. But every challenge became a reminder of how far I’ve come and how capable I truly am.

Outside of teaching and motherhood, I also love nature and travel. There’s something peaceful about being surrounded by trees, mountains, or the sound of waves. Traveling, even to nearby places, helps me refresh my mind and reconnect with myself. Nature gives me strength, it reminds me to breathe, slow down, and be thankful for simple blessings.

When I look at my children, I see the reason behind all my hard work. My dream is simple, to give them a better life and to guide them with values that will help them grow kind, confident, and brave. I always tell my son to study hard and to never forget to be humble. To my little girl, I remind her that she can be anything she dreams of even if she’s just three. Every day, I juggle being a teacher and a mother, but both roles make me proud. I may not have much, but I have love, purpose, and determination and that’s more than enough.

I was onboarded by @antonette and @chinito, whom I met through Facebook. They patiently guided and oriented me on how Hive works, and because of them, I found the confidence to share our story here.

I also understand that posting here comes with responsibility: no AI usage, no plagiarism, and only quality, original content. The photos I’ve included are personally ours, lovingly taken from my cell phone and edited using Canva.
