One may think they truly know a friend very well, but with time a person’s true character will be revealed. It is often said that whenever money is involved in any kind of relationship, that is when you can boldly say you know the person you are dealing with. Money has a way of testing trust, loyalty, and even love.
Going into a joint business with a friend can be a blessing or a curse. On one hand, it can strengthen the friendship if both parties are committed, transparent, and willing to put in equal effort. On the other hand, it can tear the relationship apart if there is selfishness, dishonesty, or lack of dedication. The outcome largely depends on how committed the partners are to making things work.
I have seen siblings, married couples, and even twins who shared the same womb have serious disagreements, simply because of joint business. What was meant to unite them ended up creating division and resentment. This shows that entering into a joint venture requires not only trust, but also wisdom, clear agreements, and open communication.
In the end, joint business can either bring people closer or push them apart, but the foundation of the relationship and their ability to handle challenges will determine which way it goes.
