Many of us on Hive have heard about the City of Neoxian, the famous city that was built by the Dragon himself. For me, Neoxian is not just another city on Hive, it is more like a gathering place where different people from different communities come together under one roof. I can say I have been part of Neoxian right from the onset of my Hive journey, and that’s why I feel somehow familiar with the city even though I haven’t joined the Discord channel yet.
My story of becoming a citizen of Neoxian is quite simple. I didn’t have to do anything special, it was just about being active on Hive and learning that Neoxian is a general platform where everyone can share their content. I remember when I first started posting, I use to see tags and curations connected to Neoxian, and it got my attention. Gradually I became used to the system, and that’s how I found myself already a part of it without even noticing.
Although I don’t hold any special role in the City yet, I still feel like a citizen because I benefit from being a part of the ecosystem. I see people talking about how generous the Dragon is and how the community supports each other, and I know it’s only a matter of time before I step fully into the Discord channel to see things for myself. That is something I’m actually looking forward to, because I know the real vibe of the City is on Discord.
One thing that draws me into Neoxian is the diversity. It’s not a city that belongs to just one type of people or one kind of interest. Different communities, writers, photographers, investors, and even ordinary bloggers all gather there, and that makes it look alive. I believe that’s why it has lasted this long, because it feels like a place where everyone can belong.
If I could change anything, maybe I would make it easier for newbies like me to know the step-by-step way to get into the Discord and participate more. Sometimes people like me are a bit slow in joining because we don’t know what to expect or how to get started. But aside that, I think the City is well organized already.
As for activities, I always look forward to the contests and events that are hosted under Neoxian. I have seen people win rewards, grow their accounts and also build friendships through them. Even without being on Discord yet, I have seen names of citizens that are constantly active and supportive, and I admire that spirit of community.
At the end of the day, what makes Neoxian special is not just the Dragon, but the people that form the heart of the City. I might not know everybody yet, but I already see it as a place where I can belong for the long term. Hopefully, joining the Discord will help me connect with more people that will become part of my Hive journey.
