Ermine is a lovely character with very simple colours, the minimalistic look of the original character makes her so beautiful and quite easy to draw. I said I was going to take a break from drawing more of the human characters and try out other creatures so I chose this one today.
I started with a simple sketch, painted the flat colours for everything before going into the details which wasn't really challenging, I'm not used to drawing eyes like hers but it turned out really cool and suits her perfectly. The background is just a combination of green leaves, and a mix of yellow and orange flowers which I blurred out, she's sitting on a rock which is slightly blurred out too, I didn't want any part of the background to overpower the main character. I like the finished work, what do you think?
