We popped into Jason Bakery to meet an old acquaintance from the music world.
We had an early breakfast which was excellent.
Poached eggs on Sour Dough bread with cocktail tomatoes
lamb pie
The lamb pie was delicious - fresh and crispy and very tasty.
Delicious Cappuccino
My mom had a freshly squeezed orange juice which she said was the best she ever had.
We met up with Jarrod and enjoyed some wonderful stories from the past. My sister is going to do a pod cast soon and will definitely invite him to be on the show - he was really entertaining.
Very strange the connections we make. My mother in her days as a real estate agent also rented out a home to him and his wife - so there was lots to talk about and many memories shared. It was a good frienship rekindled and renewed.
Earlier in the week we were in Somerset West where we had lunch at a place called Sage and Thyme My mother had an appointment to check up on her eyes so we went for lunch beforehand and it was a most comforting meal. Certainly made up for the long drive to get to the appointment
The entrance to Sage & Thyme
Inside the menu
It was fun reading all the play on "Thyme" expressions.
Chicken Burger, chips and salad
Freshly Baked scone with cheese, jam and cream
Vegetarian Tagliatelle
I would definitely go to both of these places again and recommend them. What a treat!!
