Last week in Capetown my birthday was celebrated on numerous ocassions - too many highlights to name. I was thoroughly spoilt.
I flew up for an interview on Wednesday and after the interview my sister in law, Les joined us to an outstanding lunch in Durbanville. What a magnificent place -called Chocolat Bistro - thank you Les for sharing this with us.
My meal - chicken and prawns
My mom had some steak and Les had a salad.
on Thursday my cousin gave me one of their cars to do some exploring.
We started out at Constantia Village, where I met one of my friends from school-days. We last saw each other a year ago. Wow, it was as if we had never separated, although I had been in Europe and England for the past 10 years.
With Jeremy
We spent a couple of hours chatting and catching up. We then left for Chapman's Peak as my sister had encouraged us to go to a very special restaurant - where she highly recommended the steaks. True to her word the steak was delicious and I can honestly say it was an outstanding day.
Enjoying the ambience | and the Cool breeze and view | across from us the local selling thier beaded goods |

The meal was excellent - best in a long time. The sliced steak my mother had was cooked in a sun dried tomato sauce.
The restaurant was part of the Chapman's Peak Hotel
This was a great experience/treat from my sister for my birthday. Thank you Eden.
After lunch we took a drive up Chapman's peak and saw the amazing view after many years of not visiting.
Beautiful view on the drive. Surely one of the most beautiful places in the world
Lovely road winding up the mountain | stunning views along the way |

Thank you Henry and Heather for hosting us in your beautiful home and for the loan of the car to enjoy these other blessings.
Each day held a new experience and wonderful memories. More memories to share in my next post.
