Hello guys!
Today I have some most recent work to show you. Also, I was able to do some process photos of this canvas. It's 140cm wide and 70cm tall and was made using acrylic paints (Golden Heavy Body, which I strongly recommend to all fellow artists here)
I started with really dark underpainting and using paper tape I marked the curvy path which later became my composition holder. Then I tried some random brush strokes...
After I removed the tape I started placing gold foil on its path. At this point, I was unsure how the final effect would look like, but the first results were quite nice looking and I decided to go with it.
Here I got too crazy with the foil...
...and after I removed the excess amount of gold I felt a bit stuck. The painting looked finished but I felt something is missing.
Even took a selfie :)
Last moment before selling it I found the missing detail:
And here's the final result:
Personally, I'm really happy about that piece. It took me approx. 1,5 months to finish it. The topic was to make an abstract painting that resembles both sexuality and love for music.
What do you think? ;)
