Technically not our first day in Munich because we flew into Munich a few weeks earlier in our trip but left on a train the very next day. This is a recount of the first full day of our 10-day visit to Munich. PXL_20230618_073938900.jpg

Dzigbori's sister was kind enough to host us. She is also a professional cook so there were a lot of good eats throughout our trip. She made this beautiful breakfast for us on our first morning. It was a Sunday so both her sister and brother-in-law were off of work.

After breakfast, we headed to the park so our nieces could play on the playground and we could all enjoy the nice day.

The day was nice enough that it was necessary to find some shade from the sun.

The kids played.

Even Bjorn played a little bit in the sand.

PXL_20230618_104541913.jpg The playground was just in front of an old church. This church is where Dizgbordi's first niece had her Christening back in 2019 that she went to. That was her first trip to Germany and a major event in her life.

After the park, we stopped by my sister-in-law and parents-in-law's apartment which was a black away, and on the way back to where we were staying. We then went and rested for a bit before heading out again to English Garden which is the biggest urban park in the World. We went to a beer garden called Chinese Tower because of this wooden tower shown above. There was a German Traditional band with brass instruments and accordions playing on the second level of the tower.

My boy enjoyed some time with his Auntie and really liked the German Pretzels.

One of the things that is great about the beer gardens in addition to lots of beer is that they allow you to bring your own food also. We brought some macaroni salad, and then we ordered some chicken, and Pretzels, it was more than enough to eat and all very good.

PXL_20230618_181834650.jpg We decided to walk back to the apartment from the park. It is only about a 20-minute walk.

PXL_20230618_184754109.jpg There were some nice views along the way. This was later in the evening but one of the great things about Germany this time of year is that the sun did not set until like 9:30pm.

We stopped for some gelato and I saw this nice machine parked outside. From there it was back to the apartment and bed for another day in Munich.
