There’s something special about ordinary days that turn into little adventures. Today was one of those days. My boyfriend and I headed to SM Center Pulilan with a mission: to find the perfect gift for his nephew’s upcoming Christening. It’s his first, and we wanted something meaningful. But as usual, the journey to decide was anything but straightforward.
We roamed around the mall, snapping photos like we always do, soaking in the atmosphere and exploring every store we could. From toys to clothes to baby essentials, we were undecided at every turn. Then we stumbled into a shoe and apparel store with a tempting sale. It felt like we might finally settle on something. But nope! After a whirlwind of indecisiveness, we suddenly left and rushed to another store elsewhere in the mall to make the final purchase.
Before heading home, I took a few more photos of the mall’s exterior, something about capturing the calm after the rush felt poetic. This day wasn’t just about buying a gift. It was about showing up for someone who always shows up for me. My boyfriend has been my emotional anchor throughout my healing journey, and accompanying him today was my way of giving back, even in a small way.
