Hello my friends from Hivers and the Homeedders community. Today we spent one of those afternoons where we just want to be in pajamas and rest for a while; at least, my oldest daughter has taken advantage of it to rest and have a sweet nap. Meanwhile, the little one was feeling a bit bored as she had no one to play with while her sister enjoyed her sleep. In view of this, I decided to get creative and take advantage of that moment to review counting numbers.

En vista de esto decidí ponerme creativa y aprovechar ese momento para dar un repaso al conteo de números.

Strategy #1: Entertaining Worms / **_Estrategia # 1: Gusanitos entretenidos_**

The first counting strategy is to draw some apples on the left hand side of the notebook that will have a number inside, and next to it the head of the worm; the body must be completed with small circles of colored paper from any recycling paper that we will give previously cut out to the children.

On the notebook page I drew some cute chickens, each one has a sign with a number on its wing. On the other hand, I cut out some small eggs from recycled paper. The task is for the child at home to color the chickens, see what number each one has on their sign and based on this, place the corresponding number of eggs on the line.

**_En la página del cuaderno dibujé unas simpáticas gallinas, cada una en su ala tiene un cartel donde esta un número. Por otro lado, recorté con papel de reciclaje unos pequeños huevos. La tarea es que el niño o niña en casa debe colorear las gallinas, ver que número tienen cada una en su cartel y en base a este colocar en la línea la cantidad de huevos que corresponde.

The following activity consists of making left-hand drawings in no particular order, as shown in the image below based on the number that we place on the right hand side. The children must join by drawing a line towards the image that corresponds based on the numerical quantity. They must also color the drawings as they wish.

- All these strategies allow the child to spend an entertaining time coloring the drawings of each activity, which allows them to develop fine motor skills, due to the fact that they hold crayons in their hands and allows them to have control and mastery in the pressure to exert by holding them between their fingers.
- The dynamics of making numeral learning something illustrative, with figures, drawings and colorful images awakens the child's interest, since we stimulate their interest and participation in wanting to learn, breaking with the routine and boring way of teaching mathematics.

- Todas estas estrategias permite que el pequeño/a pase un tiempo entretenido coloreando los dibujos de cada actividad lo que permite desarrollar la motricidad fina, por el hecho de tomar creyones en sus manos y les permite tener control y dominio en la presión a ejercer tomando estos entre sus dedos.
- El dinamismos de hacer del aprendizaje numeral algo ilustrativo, con figuras, dibujos e imágenes coloridas despierta la interés del niño/a, puesto que estimulamos su interés y participación por querer aprender, rompiendo con la manera rutinaria y aburrida de enseñar las matemáticas.
- Aprenden sobre números de variadas maneras y se les hace atractiva las matemáticas de esta manera.
- Enseñamos y fortalecemos el conocimiento del conteo.
- Contribuye al desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas.

To close this content, my daughter had a good time, she enjoyed each task and also said each number out loud and I was left wanting other similar activities. In this way we are also strengthening knowledge about numbers that she already knows and that when it is time to start classes she still remembers them and does not forget them during these vacation times.
