This post is special because it marks two firsts for me. It is my first post in the young but active **GreenZone** community. It is also my first participation in the [**La Forja Fractal**](https://peakd.com/hive-164923/@cumanauta/segunda-convocatoria-de-la-forja) initiative, kindly organized by our friend @cumanauta. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his interest in awakening our creativity. Before sharing my entry with you, I'll tell you an anecdote about the creative process. I started writing a story, with references to my childhood experiences, but the impossibility of fitting it into the 200 words required by the contest rules made me give up on the idea. Then I decided on a completely fictional theme, but when I finished, I tried the mischief of swapping the roles of the characters and the essence of the story. What you will read below is the third attempt (the charm, once again) to forge a story at the stroke of a keyboard for the contest. Thank you for visiting, it is a pleasure to have you read my words. ### An Umbrella for Two --- It had been pouring over the city for hours. The rain ran through the streets like rivers. A bus approaches the stop, throwing up great tongues of water on both sides. As it stops, a man gets off through the rear door and seeks refuge under the shelter of the bus stop. Alone, she had settled her wait on a bench at the stop. A fleeting exchange of glances produced a disturbing shiver in the newcomer. The woman enjoyed knowing she was intimidating. "It's not letting up," she said, seeking conversation. He pretended not to hear her words. "Looks like with this weather, my bus isn't going to come," she attempted dialogue again. He shrugged, avoiding eye contact. "I think I'll head to the avenue to get a taxi," she commented to herself, masking her intention, as she opened a red umbrella. The woman set off towards the main road. It was late, past midnight. After a few steps, she turned around. "Come," she invited him under the umbrella, "it's surely on your way home." He hesitated, but then accepted. 🔹🔹🔷🔹🔹 At the same stop,on many other rainy nights, the enigmatic woman with the red umbrella seeks company while she waits for her bus that never comes.
