Following the success of the last tournament, the next one is scheduled to start on Monday August 25th, and will go until the following Sunday at midnight. This will be a local tournament, which means the stats on players will be limited to what a level 30 card could have, allowing mid level teams to be competitive, while lvl 10-20 teams will find it more difficult. The format will be the same, a round robin, and the prizes are identical to the last tournament. Up to 82,000 GLX and 860 GMLSPA packs can be distributed to up to 20 participants, although we have only had ten active participants in the last one.
Congratulations to drzoom for winning the last tournament. He made a comeback within the GLG community to participate in the tournaments, where he used to be the one organizing them. His team is still among the very best, which will make him hard to beat in any tier. Last time we also had three signups who failed to complete their games during the week, leading to their disqualification. Remember that if you signup, you need to complete at least 50% of your matches in order to claim any prize, and for your games played to count at all in the scoring system. We will keep a watch for trolls who signup but don't really intend to play. If that behavior repeats, these individuals will be blocked from signing up.
There is still one week before the start of the next tournament, so until then, remember to play your ranked games and earn GLX as well as leveling up your players if they aren't already. Remember, you don't need a high level team to compete in this tournament, a team around level 30-40 will be enough to hang around and earn wins. Even if you finish near the bottom, the prizes are inticing, especially the free packs you can open to level up your team some more.
