Staying at home might be peaceful yet bored me at times. This is one of the days that it was me who tagged along with my Mother. She needs to accompany @asiaymalay daughter Alex for her monthly shots. Nope, she's not a baby but an adult and had medication.
Supposedly Asia's husband was to bring only a motorcycle but since Caleb and I are going with them , he brought the car instead; (owned by his sister.) With one condition, I need to pay for the gasoline, not all but I need to contribute. Sounds fair and the fare is also expensive in our province.
It was only my Mother and Alex who went inside the hospital and I got bored waiting.
Outside was also hot and there was no place to stay just to kill time. That is when I remembered that the headquarters of ROTC (Reserve officer training course) was only walking distance.
So, I told my brother-in-law that my son and I will be going there. He will just pick us up later.
A decade had passed and the HQ was already transferred but in the same location. Unlike before it was more presentable and I was happy to see progress. I knocked and unluckily, no one was inside since it's Saturday. There is a class and all officers are at school.
Also, this made me realize I know NO ONE and might be a little bit awkward. What I'm gonna introduce myself "Hi sir, I am one of the alumni, class SIKLAB batch 2012." Should I still render a salute?
Good thing, no one was there, and this is what I got for being impulsive sometimes.
Next was the office of Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council and I saw a familiar face. That is where I stayed for a while and had a quick chat until my BIL picked us.
It was almost lunch time and we planned to dine before heading home. They don't like to eat fast food so ended up in a snack house.
Anyone want batchoy? Not that autenthic but this one is cheaper version. Still tastes good. What I really missed here was this;
Nope not the yum burger but the rice cake! What was usually sold in Manila and even in my husband's hometown was made of flour. Here it is still from glutinous rice.
More tastier if used banana leaves instead of paper cups. I even buy more to take home.
After, before heading home we dropped by my sister and she gave us digital BP monitoring.
I am actually planning to buy one for my parents and seeing she already did was such a relief 😆.
She told me to just teached them how to use it before my vacation ended. To complete the first aid, she instructed me to buy at least ten pieces of medicine for highblood. Yep, I paid for it because it would be awkward if not 🤣
When we went home, here is what my toddler was doing in the car .
