The topic of my post today is a game built and developed on the **Hive** blockchain that is still in development (Closed Beta) but **is already playable** and it is possible to collect daily game rewards. The game is **BANG! Defense**, a **Tower Defense Game**, simple and immediate to play developed by @choof (creator) and the @hashkings team. The goal of the game is to defend a tower from attacks by birds, animated bombs, bouncing pink balls and other funny characters who want to destroy the tower. Your weapon is a **Beta Blaster** and you must hit the attackers before they reach the tower.  **BANG! Defense is in the **Closed Beta** stage of development: - you can **play**, compete with other players and **collect in-game rewards**. - you can only use the **NFT Beta Blasters** which are a small part of the NFTs that will be usable in the game in the future. The Closed Beta phase started on June 10 but I only started playing yesterday. BANG! Defense is a **Skill game play to earn** and is not a free to play game. You can try the game totally free in the **Demo Mode** but if you want to compete with other players and want to collect in-game rewards **you have to buy an NFT Beta Blaster**. The **requirements** to play BANG! Defense are as follows: - **1.** You must have a **Hive account**. You need to purchase an NFT Beta Blaster**   ## The NFT Beta Blasters  There are four NFT Beta Blasters currently usable in the game and they have different rarities. The four types of Beta Blasters have different in-game statistics that become better performers as rarity increases (common, rare, epic and legendary)  There are **two ways to obtain an NFT Beta Blaster**: - Buy a **Common, Rare or Epic pack** from https://presale.bangdefense.net/  - Purchase a **single NFT Beta Blaster** from https://nftm.art/buy/bguns  **Would it be better to buy a pack or a Beta Blaster?** If you want to get an NFT **Beta Blaster** of **common** type, you can spend: - **$4.50** to buy a **Common Pack** that contains: - 1x Beta Blaster (common) - 2x General Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 2x Keys (needed to open the Crates). - **7.5 SWAP.HIVE = $3.0975** to buy a single Beta Blaster of common type  If you want to get an NFT **Beta Blaster** of **rare** type you can spend: - **$13.50** to buy a **Rare Pack** that contains: - 1x Beta Rare Blaster - 2x General Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 2x Weapon Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 1x Tower Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 5x Keys (needed to open the Crates) - **30 SWAP.HIVE = $12.39** to buy a single Beta Blaster of rare type  If you want to get an NFT **Beta Blaster** of type **epic** you can spend: - **$50** to buy an Epic Pack that contains: - 1x Beta Epic Blaster - 12x General Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 7x Weapon Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 5x Tower Crates (obtainable and openable in the future) - 24x Keys (needed to open the Crates) - **175 SWAP.HIVE = $72.2750** to buy a single Beta Blaster of epic type  If you want to get an NFT **Beta Blaster** type **legendary** you only have one option because the legendary packs were all sold on the first day of the presale. There are two NFT Legendary Beta Blaster NFTs for sale on NFTMart and the lowest sale price is **400 HIVE = $165.20**. The choice to buy a single NFT or a pack containing multiple NFTs is obviously subjective. I do not know the price at which **Crates** will be offered for sale in the future but if I assume a highly improbable and downward price of one dollar per Crates it is clearly evident and there is no need to make assumptions and calculations that it is cheaper to buy a pack instead of a single beta blaster ;) I purchased a legendary pack during the first day of the presale and do not need to purchase a pack or a Beta Blaster today but **if I were to start investing in BANG Defense today I would do so by purchasing one of the available packs**.   ## My first games and my first rewards  The Closed Beta phase started on June 10 but I only started playing yesterday. The steps I took to play my first game were as follows: - **1.** I did the **login** (arrow number 1 image below). - **2.** Then I clicked on **DASHBOARDS** in the upper left corner (arrow number 2 following image) - **3.** Then I activated my NFT legendary Beta Blaster by clicking on **Active Weapons** (arrow number 3 next image) - **4.** Then I clicked on **Play** (arrow number 4 next image)  On my first day, I played about 15 games. Understanding how to Play BANG! Defense is very simple because the dynamics of the game are very simple.  The **commands** are as follows: - To **shoot**: click left mouse button. - To **aim**: move the mouse cursor.  Each enemy eliminated allows you to earn game dollars displayed in the Balance section (these are game dollars and are not transferable or saleable tokens). With game dollars, you can improve the Beta Blaster's statistics by pressing the following keys on the keyboard: - **1: Damage** - **2: Firerate** - **3: Bullet Speed** - **4: Magazine Size** - **5: Reload Time**  Each upgrade level has a cost that increases as the upgrade level increases. The game ends when the green bar above the tower reaches 0.  At the end of each game the final score is displayed, and in the following image you can see the score I achieved in my first game.  The **MATCH SCORE** is the game score. The **FINAL SCORE** is the score valid for calculating game rewards and which takes into account the values of **Accuracy, Wawe** and total **Collection Power (CP)**. The calculation behind the FINAL SCORE is explained very well in the DOCS section of BANG! Defense on the following page: https://bangdefense.gitbook.io/bang-defense/play-to-earn/leaderboards  All simple, right? Today I received **my first in-game rewards**. On BANG! Defense there is a daily **Reward Pool** consisting of a certain amount of **BUDS** tokens. The **BUDS** tokens are second-level tokens on the Hive blockchain and are the same tokens that players who play [Hashkings](https://farm.hashkings.app/play) receive as rewards. In the **LEADERBOARDS** section, you can see the total number of BUDS tokens that constitute the daily Reward Pool.  The Reward Pool is divided into two (50%/50%) to reward active players daily based on **two rankings**: - **High Score ranking** - **Total Score Leaderboard**  As my first daily reward, I received a total of **1249,477 BUDS**. - **345,955 BUDS** (DAILY HIGH SCORE BUDS POOL). - **903,522 BUDS** (DAILY TOTAL SCORE BUDS POOL)  Today, July 13, 2022, the value of 1249.477 BUDS is **0.28865 SWAP.HIVE = $0.1192**.   ## Final Considerations  I have only played about 20 games so far and my opinion of BANG! Defense is very positive. BANG! Defense is an easy game to play and also very fun. BANG! Defense is the classic game that I refer to as "chase away thoughts." When I have some free time I will definitely play a few games for fun and distraction from work commitments. On April 1, 2022, I purchased 1 legendary pack and was lucky because the 120 available packs were all sold out after a few minutes.  I spent 103,306 SWAP.HIVE on my purchase.  Today after only a few games played I am glad I made this investment because in my opinion BANG! Defense is a game that has potential because it is easy to play and it is fun. So far I have reached a maximum score of 110005 points and I have finished at most Wawe 8.  **And have you dear reader tried BANG!
