*** **Farming Tales** is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the **WAX** blockchain. Farming Tales differs from other blockchain-based farming games because: - It has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine (Unity). - it has some NFTs that are linked to real goods of real farms (saffron, honey,...).  It was these two peculiarities that convinced me to play and invest on Farming Tales along with the fact that Farming Tales has created a community and an account (@farmingtales) on the **Hive** blockchain which is my favorite blockchain project. Farming Tales also has plans to integrate on **Hive's** blockchain as well (Q3 - 2022) and that's another point that makes me happy although, honestly, I would have liked it if Farming Tales was developed on Hive.  _{Source: Whitepaper of FarmingTales} On Farming Tales I play two roles: - I am a **simple player** who decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens - I am an **operator** of the **[Cartel](https://www.1up.zone/@flauwy/1up-cartel-is-exploding-over-30k-usd-cartel-issued-only-4-days-left-for-base-price)** project of the beautiful community called **[OneUp](https://www.1up.zone/)**. **OneUp** is a community of Hive's blockchain ocused on NFT games and blockchain games (https://www.1up.zone/).  **OneUp Cartel** is: - a **Meta Gaming Guild** - a **Meta Curation** - a **Meta Dividend Token**  _{Screenshot from: https://www.1up.zone/@flauwy/1up-cartel-is-exploding-over-30k-usd-cartel-issued-only-4-days-left-for-base-price} *** *** I've been managing OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales since January 8, 2022 but before I show the financial results I've achieved in 32 days I want to share and showcase Farming Tales news and updates related to the past week (February 24 - March 2).  ## Farming Tales News ## Greenhouse and the Seed System *** On February 27, 2022 at 20:00 UTC, the sale of the NFT **Greenhouse** began. The sale took place in two phases and the first phase lasted for 10 minutes, during which, the purchase was only enabled for players who had an **NFT Early Adopter Diorama** and at least one **NFT Vegetable Garden**. Myself (with my personal account) and OneUp Cartel were among the buyers in the first 10 minutes. In 10 minutes, **250 Greenhouse NFTs** were sold out of a total of 497 NFTs available for sale.  . All Greenhouses have been sold and today you can only purchase one from the AtomicHub marketplace and the lowest selling price on the market right now is **700 WAX = $219.10** The **NFT Greenhouse** is a **legendary** NFT that allows its owners to produce a **Seed Box (NFT)** every day. Each Seed Box contains 3 different **seeds** that are NFTs and like the Seed Box itself, can be sold on AtomicHub or used within the game. In the following image you can see the display of **Seed** and **Seed Box** type NFTs inside the OneUpCartel inventory on AtomicHub.  Within the Farming Tales game area, the NFT GreenHouse is graphically represented by the structure you can see in the following image.  To receive one Seed Box per day, just wait 24 hours and perform the Harvest operation and the NFT Seed Box will be received and displayed in the **My Inventory** section of **AtomicHub**.  With the sale and activation of the Greenhouses, the **Seed System** has been released and the NFT **Vegetable Garden** can now be used to plant seeds produced by the GreenHouse. For example, in the Garden of OneUp Cartel I planted two days ago **Blueberry** seeds and in a little more than a day I will be able to make the first harvest.   ## First Drop of DAO tokens: LIRA *** On February 23, 2022 Farming Tales began the **decentralization process** of the game and the first **LIRA** tokens were distributed to SEST (non-liquid but stacked) token holders. LIRA tokens are the Farming Tales (DAO) governance tokens and will allow players to take part in decisions about the future of the game. The distribution of LIRA tokens will continue each week and the distribution mechanism will be as follows: **10000 SEST tokens (stacked) = 1 LIRA token per week** At the time of the first LIRA token distribution the **1carteltales** account had more than **23000** **SEST** tokens in stake and in the following image you can see the two LIRA tokens correctly received.   ## Blend of the Legendary Animals *** Operation **Blend of the Legendary Animals** began on February 28, 2022. With this operation you can get 1 NFT legendary animal by combining 5 common animals: - **Epic -> Legendary**: **1 epic animal + 4000 SESTs Voucher = 1 legendary animal**. The blending operation can be done from https://neftyblocks.com/c/farmingtales/blends/super   ## The 3D Animated Animals have arrived *** The latest novelty introduced by the Farming Tales development team concerns the graphic look of the game because **animated 3D animals** have been introduced. Before in the farms the animals were not displayed but now they are. In the following image you can see one of the cows owned by OneUp Cartel  Legendary Animals have the same production statistics (SEST for now) as Epic Animals but have a lower harvest cost (cost in CBIT tokens). In the following image you can see all the production stats of Animals type NFTs updated with the introduction of legendary cards game stats (source: Farming Tales' Whitepaper).  _{Screenshot from: https://nodo42.gitbook.io/farming-tales-the-game/how-does-it-work/farms} ***  ## OneUp Cartel Investment ## Initial Budget *** After showing and sharing the new features introduced in the last week by Farming Tales it's time to publish my fifth weekly report as an operator of OneUp Cartel that contains the financial evaluation of OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales. OneUp Cartel decided to initially invest **500 HBD** in the Farming Tales project. My activity as a OneUp Cartel operator began on January 29 when I completed the conversion of **500 HBD** into **1583 WAX tokens** and today March 2, 32 days have passed. In the past week, after interacting with @flauwy via comments and on Discord, OneUp Cartel decided to increase their investment on Farming Tales and added **250 WAX** with the goal of purchasing a **NFT Greenhouse**. OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales has now increased and is: **500 HBD + 250 WAX** The current total value of the investment is **$566.25**.  The updated total of WAX tokens I had available to invest in Farming Tales is **1833** **WAX** tokens.   ## The Assets purchased . *** ### CPU On the WAX blockchain you need to have a minimum amount of resources (**NET, CPU, RAM**) in order to perform certain operations. For example, all **Harvest** operations within the Farming Tales game consume the **CPU** resource (which recharges over time) and for this reason I initially allocated **37** **WAX** tokens to the **CPU** resource. This week I used the **Alcor** exchange to buy the SEST tokens needed to purchase the GreenHouse and by placing BID purchase offers I had difficulty making transactions because the CPU resource would often go to 0%. For this reason I increased the stacked WAX tokens for the CPU resource: **37 -> 51.54**.  *** ### The purchased NFTs In order to start your farming adventure on Farming Tales, you need to make an **initial investment** which mainly consists of purchasing at least one of the following card combinations (NFTs): - **Hen + Coop** - **Goose + Shelter** - **Goat + Stable** - **Cow + Stable** - **Sheep + Stable** - **Pig + Stable** - **Garden + Seed** - **Lumberjack** - **Fishing Pier** - **Hive** - **Greenhouse** All Farming Tales NFTs can be purchased: - from the **Market** section of **Farming Tales** using SEST tokens (Crafting operation) - from the **Market** section of **AtomicHub** using WAX tokens: https://wax.atomichub.io/market?collection_name=farmingtales&order=desc&sort=created&symbol=WAX  To date, I have chosen all of the NFTs I have purchased based on a calculation of the **estimated annual ROI**, a calculation I made for every combination of NFTs on the market before making each purchase. In the last week I have purchased two new NFTs: - **1 Early Adopter Diorama** - **1 GreenHouse** Thanks to the two latest purchases and the daily production of the GreenHouse the NFTs owned by OneUpCartel increased by 5 units in one week and now total 20: - **3 NFT Harlequin Cow** - **3 NFT Harlequin Goat** - **1 NFT Silo Raro** - **6 NFT Stable** - **1 NFT Water Tower Raro** - **1 NFT Garden** - **1 Early Adopter Diorama** - **1 Sugar Cane Seeds** - **1 Sugar Beet Seeds** - **1 Seed Box** - **1 GreenHouse** All details of my purchases can be viewed at: https://wax.atomichub.io/profile/1carteltales#buyHistory  To purchase the NFTs I listed above, I spent a total of **1585.58 WAX**. To purchase the **Greenhouse** you needed **40000** **SEST** tokens. To purchase the necessary SEST tokens I used mostly liquid **WAX** tokens but I also used some of the **CBIT** tokens and **SEST** tokens I received as rewards from the game activity.  Excluding the value of the rewards used, the **GreenHouse** cost **471,168** **WAX** tokens but the lowest selling price on the market today is already 48% higher than the purchase cost: **700 WAX**. In the following table you can see the list of the cards I bought until today with the indication of the purchase price, the current market prices and the differences between purchase price and current value for each NFT bought.  The difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) is finally and for the first time positive: - February 23: **- $42.88** - March 2: **+ 89.33$** *** ### SEST tokens Purchased . **SEST** tokens are the native tokens of the Farming Tales game and are obtained through the Harvest operation. To perform the **Harvest** operation, however, you must have two consumable items: **food** and **water**. Food and water represent a cost and can be purchased using **CBIT** tokens (utility tokens).  . CBIT tokens can be purchased, but they can also be produced for free by stacking SEST tokens. **SEST tokens stacked provide a daily supply of CBIT tokens**. In order to make the **OneUp CArtel farm self-sufficient** and able to perform Harvest operations without having to purchase CBIT tokens from the non-game markets on a cyclical basis, I purchased **14970 SEST tokens** that I staked in the **Wallet** section of Farming Tales. To purchase 14970 SEST tokens, I used the **Alchor** exchange (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) and spent a total of **195 WAX** (January 30, 2022).    ## The value of rewards *** In order to buy the Greenhouse I used part of the rewards obtained so far. In the table below you can see the total value of SEST tokens and CBIT tokens owned by OneUp Cartel.  If I subtract the value of the purchase of 14970 SEST tokens made on January 30, 2022 I get the value of the game rewards received and not reinvested which is **$31.93**  Although I used just over 1600 SEST tokens to cover part of the cost of the Greenhouse, the total stacked (purchased + received as rewards) SEST tokens from OneUp Cartel increased in one week by **1035 units**. This amount of SEST tokens currently provides a daily reward of **8.27** **CBIT** tokens = **$0.316** per day  Since my last report and in seven days the value of the daily CBIT token reward has increased by **+0.232 CBIT** (8,272 - 8,040).  ## Profit and ROI *** It's time to do some calculations and **compare costs** and **revenues**. I created a prospectus to show and track the financial results of the Farming Tales investment that I manage on behalf of OneUp Cartel. After 4 reports in which I always recorded a negative result **finally the green color colors my report**.  The financial results are positive and an ROI of +18.62% in 32 days is a very good result: - **Profit: + 341.26 WAX = + 106.81$** - **ROI: + 18.62%** The results in my prospectus only take into account investments made using WAX tokens and do not take into account: - the dollar value of the initial investment - the variation of the value in dollars of the WAX tokens - the amount of WAX tokens present in the wallet and not yet invested.  If I consider the current value of the 500 HBD tokens invested in Farming Tales the financial results of OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales are even better: - **Profit: + 114.44S** - **ROI: + 20.21%**   ## Final Considerations *** The investment on Farming Tales by
