*** **Farming Tales** is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the **WAX** blockchain. I have a natural preference for games built and developed on the blockchain of **Hive** because Hive is the blockchain project I care more and in which I am more active but when I discovered Farming Tales I decided to make an exception because I immediately saw the potential in this game, potential that depends mainly on two peculiarities that Farming Tales has and that many other blockchain based farming games don't have: - Farming Tales has **beautiful graphics** and uses a **3D graphics engine**. - Farming Tales has some **NFT** that are **linked to real goods from real farms** (saffron, honey,...). In addition, Farming Tales has among its future goals to integrate on the **Hive** blockchain (Q3 - 2022).  _{Source: Whitepaper of FarmingTales} After this brief introduction to the Farming Tales game, let's take a look at the latest news and updates regarding Farming Tales.  ## Farming Tales News  The development team is working on the development and release of **New Wanchester** which will be a major update that will change the gameplay dynamics of Farming Tales. With the release of the New Wanchester there will be the introduction of a **new production system** that will allow NFTs in the game to no longer produce SEST tokens but food and vegetables that can be sold or used to produce other game elements and will also be useful to complete quests that will be another game element that will be introduced in the future. The first big and upcoming news concerns the sale of the first building of the new Wanchester: the **Windmill**. ## The Windmill  As announced on March 20 in the **Annuncements** channel of the Farming Tales Discord server, there will be a sale of New Wanchester's first building, the **WindMill**, on March 27, 2022.  Due to the exclusivity and uniqueness of this NFT the sales mechanism will be that of **auction sale**.  The sale will be held on the Farming Tales Discord server and those who wish to participate must have the **Auction role** which is obtained by: - inserting the **WAX wallet address** inside the **wallet-link** channel - by typing the command **!link yourwallet** inside the **auction-wallet-link** channel.  As you can see from the following image, I registered but I'm a realist so I won't even try to buy the Windmill because the purchase price will surely be very high and definitely out of my reach.  But I'm really curious to see what the final selling price will be...  ## New Buildings Blend  On March 11, 2022, the possibility of blending **NFTs** of **Building** type was introduced, while the blending operation of NFTs of Animal type was possible long before. This is a small change but it has a great utility because it allows to understand immediately which harvesting operation should be done in order not to waste units of food or water.   ## OneUp Cartel Investment  My gaming/investing activity on Farming Tales is twofold because I play **two roles**: - I am a **simple player** who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens - I am an **operator** of the **[Cartel](https://www.1up.zone/@flauwy/1up-cartel-is-exploding-over-30k-usd-cartel-issued-only-4-days-left-for-base-price)** project of the beautiful community called **[OneUp](https://www.1up.zone/)**. **OneUp** is a community of Hive's blockchain ocused on NFT games and blockchain games (https://www.1up.zone/).  **OneUp Cartel** is: - a **Meta Gaming Guild** - a **Meta Curation** - a **Meta Dividend Token**  _{Screenshot from: https://www.1up.zone/@flauwy/1up-cartel-is-exploding-over-30k-usd-cartel-issued-only-4-days-left-for-base-price} *** I have been managing OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales since January 29, 2022 and today March 23, 2022 it has been 53 days.  ## Total Investment Cost  **OneUp Cartel** has invested in the Farming Tales project: - **500 HBD** (Jan. 29, 2022). - **250 WAX** (March 2, 2022) Based on today's values of HBD tokens and WAX tokens invested by OneUp Cartel, the total cost of investment on Farming Tales is **$563.16** (previous report: $569.13).  The total amount of WAX tokens I had available to invest to date was **1833** **WAX** tokens whose current value is $543.76.   ## VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS  ### CPU  In order to perform operations on the WAX blockchain you need to have a minimum of resources (**NET, CPU, RAM**). The total value of OneUp Cartel's NFT collection is **1584.70 WAX = $470.10**. The last time I checked the market value of OneUp Cartel's NFT collection was 15 days ago. In 15 days the difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) has remained negative even though the loss in value is really minimal (-2.24%): - March 9: **-10.25$** - March 23: **-10.76$**  ### Total value of tokens and rewards  At the base of the Farming Tales game are two different tokens: - **SEST** tokens - **CBIT** tokens The **SEST** tokens are the native tokens of the Farming Tales game and are obtained through the Harvest operation. **CBIT** tokens are utility tokens needed to perform food and water refill operations. CBIT tokens can be purchased but can also be produced for free through the SEST token stacking operation. In the following table you can see the total amount and value of SEST tokens and CBIT tokens owned by OneUp Cartel as of today.  The total value of the SEST and CBIT tokens is **224.93 WAX = $66.73**. However, this value does not correspond to the total value of in-game rewards received from harvesting and stacking SEST tokens because on January 30, 2022 I purchased **14970** **SEST** tokens and spent **195 WAX**.   If I subtract from the total amount of stacked SEST tokens the amount of 14970 SEST tokens I get the **total value of game rewards received and not reinvested** which is **128.38 WAX = 38.08$** (previous report value: 25.68$)   ## Profit and ROI  I have collected all the data I need to **compare costs** and **revenues** and can then calculate the **Profit** and **ROI** related to the OneUp Cartel investment after 53 days. In order to monitor the financial results of the Farming Tales investment that I manage on behalf of OneUp Cartel I created the prospectus that you can see in the following image.  15 days ago (March 9, 2022) the financial results were slightly negative while today they are back to positive: - **Profit: 52.17 WAX = $15.48** - **ROI: + 2.85%**. The results in my prospectus take into account only the investments made using WAX tokens and do not take into account: - the dollar value of the initial investment - the variation of the dollar value of WAX tokens and of the 500 HBD tokens initially invested.  If I take into consideration the current dollar value of the 500 HBD tokens of the initial investment and the current value of the WAX tokens I get the final financial results of OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales which are as follows: - **Profit: + 3.19S** - **ROI: + 0.57%**.   ## Final Considerations  After 53 days of investment the Profit and Roi obtained are positive even if their values are small. In the coming week I will continue to accumulate game rewards and will watch with interest what will happen on March 27th at the auction of the Windmill building. At that time the SEST tokens that are now worth 0.00645 WAX ($0.0019) may increase in value because they are needed to bid at the auction.
