On March 18, 2025 **Splinterlands introduced three new features** including the lands functioning update: **Land 1.75 Update**. I have **3 land plots** in the Bredaine region: - **1 plot** of type **Plains** - **1 plot** of type **Hills** - **1 plot** of type **Forest**.  Screenshot from https://splinterlands.com/land/overview/praetoria/Bredaine Before the 1.75 update I had **two land plots** that produced **Grain** and **one plot** that produced **SPS**.  After I saw the cost to make the claim from my plot producing SPS I decided not to make the claim (highly expensive) and **converted the production of my plot with Plains terrain from SPS to Grain**.   The production of my plots before the 1.75 update was a self-sufficient production because the plot producing SPS had a lower cost in Grain than the grain production of my other two plots. For this reason I have accumulated a **grain reserve** that contains **169K Grain**.  After the production change I made on March 18, I now have: - **1 plot** producing **Wood** - **1 plot** that produces **Stone** - **1 plot** that produces **Grain**  Today I used the useful **HARVEST ALL** feature to **claim the resources** produced by my three land plots.  Thanks to the claim I received: - **3330.36 Grain** - **1300.63 Stone** - **4453.73 Wood** |||| |-|-|-| It is very handy and useful to have the **HISTORY** feature to see Grain consumption and to see resource production.  With the claims I made today I decreased my Grain reserve but my Grain production started late compared to Stone and Wood production because I changed the production from SPS to Grain in my Plains type plot and this change took 1 day to complete and manual activation of production which I did two days late. **My goal after update 1.75 will be to make my resource production self-sufficient again** and I will wait for the next claim to evaluate what to do to achieve this goal. Starting today **I will start monitoring the conversion value to DEC of resources producible from land plots**. In fact, in the **Markets** section of the **LAND TRADE HUB** there are **4 liquidity pools** that allow **converting Grain, Wood, Stone and Iron type resources into DEC**.  In the next images you can see the value in DEC of each unit of resource that can be produced in the lands and convertible to DEC through the **SWAP** feature of the **LAND TRADE HUB**.  Today, March 22, 2025: - **1 GRAIN = 0.013 DEC**  - **1 WOOD = 0.047 DEC**  - **1 STONE = 0.415 DEC**  - **1 IRON = 0.761 DEC**  Those who have plots that produce SPS and Research need to use Grain, Wood, Stone, and Iron type resources to make the claim.  I choose to have only plots that produce Grain, Wood and Stone and therefore **my current choice is** to: - **not sell Grain** - **sell Wood and Stone** Today I sold **4453.73 Wood** in exchange for **204.72 DEC**.  Note that there may be a difference between the value in DEC in the SWAP window and the value in final DEC due to the effect of **Market Fluctuations**.  Today I also sold **1300.63 Stone** in exchange for **517.05 DEC**.   My two land plots allowed me to earn a total of **721.77 DEC**. I could use this gain: - **to buy 92.96 SPS** and speed up my path to my goal of 150K SPS  - **to buy or rent cards** for use in Modern Format which is my favorite format  [Battle Link](https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_0045c39c4c5239dd8552b19b3c65c923?ref=libertycrypto27) - **to set aside an amount of DEC** to use to purchase the **packs of cards from the new set** when they are released (probably in May) - **to set aside an amount of DEC** to be used to purchase more **land plots** I haven't decided what to do yet, but I will most likely use the DEC I will earn from selling resources from my land plots to buy cards of the new set because when the Chaos Legion cards will come out of Modern Format I will have few cards to use in Modern Format.
