Moon Karts Season 41: Leaderboards , COLONY/Orbital Points Ratio & My Results and Rewards Analysis!
It is several months that I play and have fun on **[Moonkarts](https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/)**, a **Hive-based arcade race game** that is part of the games featured on the [Arcade Colony](https://arcadecolony.com/) platform.

Moon Karts is one of the games I follow with the most interest because it combines fun, competition, and a well-structured reward system.
Yesterday, **October 26, 2025, season 41 ended** and **season 42 began**, which will end in 9 days and 17 hours.
In this post, I share:
- the positions of the two leaderboards of season 41 about 7 hours before the end of the season
- the calculation of the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio
- the analysis of my game results and rewards in season 41
# Seasonal Leaderboards
Moon Karts has a reward mechanism in COLONY tokens for each race, which rewards players who finish in the top two places in a single race with 2 to 5 players.
In races with six players, third place also receives a reward in COLONY tokens.
In addition to the rewards available in a single race, there are also **two seasonal reward mechanisms**:
- **Ranked Leaderboards**
- **Orbitals Leaderboard**
Unlike other games such as Splinterlands and dCrops, where you can see the results of the previous season's leaderboards, on Moon Karts you can only see the results of the two leaderboards during the season in progress.
I hope that in the future Moon Karts will implement this feature, which I think is important.
Until this feature is implemented, I will take screenshots of all the positions of the two leaderboards on the last day of the season and possibly a few minutes before the end of the season.
In my previous post, I published screenshots of the two leaderboards that I photographed 15 minutes before the end of the season.
Today I was out of town with my family and couldn't take screenshots of the two leaderboards a few minutes before the end of the season, but I did so when there were about 7 hours left in the season.
In the next images, you can see the positions of the two leaderboards when there were 7 hours and 47 minutes left before the end of season 41.

The **Ranked Leaderboard** is based on:
- **Ranking Points** earned by players in races: 10 Ranking Points for first place, 8 Ranking Points for second place, 5 Ranking points for third place...
- The **Staking Factor**, which depends on the amount of COLONY staked.
In the **Ranked Leaderboard** of season 41, the top three positions were occupied by the same players who had occupied the top three positions in the Ranked Leaderboard of season 40:
First place: @mahar26
Second place: @spaceghost25
Third place: @tryhard32
Mahar26 played fewer races than in the previous season, when he accumulated more than 9,000 ranking points.
But his results are still impressive because, considering that the winner of a single race earns 10 ranking points, to earn 7,390 ranking points, it is necessary to play a minimum of 739 races in 10 days, always finishing first.
The last place on the Ranked Leaderboard was taken by @freemonster, who earned only 5 Ranking Points during Season 41 (each player starts the season with 1000 ranking points) and received a prize of 1683 COLONY tokens.
The **Orbitals Leaderboard** is based on:
- the **Orbital Points** earned by players in races.
- the **NFTs** that make up the **Kart Preset**: the **rarity** and **foil** of an NFT directly influence the amount of Orbital Points that can be earned during a race.
To earn Orbital Points during a race, you must collect at least 2 Orbitals (in-race items) along the race route.
In the **Orbitals Leaderboard** of season 41, the top player was **@spaceghost25**, who collected **more than 24 million Orbital Points**.
In the Orbitals Leaderboard, the top three positions were also occupied by the same players who had occupied them at the end of the previous season.
# The COLONY/Orbital Points ratio
When I like a game, I keep track of my game results and the rewards I receive.
In season 41:
- I accumulated **3000060 Orbital Points**
- For my position in the Orbitals Leaderboard, I received a reward of **24034 COLONY**.
These two pieces of information allow me to **calculate the COLONY/Orbital Points ratio**.
In season 41, the **COLONY/Orbital Points ratio** was **0.00801117 COLONY per Orbital point**.
The Orbital Points/COLONY ratio is an information that applies to all players and means that **1000 Orbital Points generated 8.01117 COLONY**.
Over the last three seasons, the Orbital Points/COLONY ratio has increased season after season.
# Analysis of my results and rewards in season 41
In season 41, I played many more races than in season 40, but I did not achieve my seasonal goal of playing at least 300 races because I stopped at **187 races** played.
In fact:
- in **season 38**, I played **251 races**
- in **season 39**, I played **290 races**
- in **season 40**, I played **73 races**
- in **season 41**, I played **187 races**
In season 41, I used this Kart Preset:
- Kart: **Arachno Eclipse**
- Driver: **Drift**
- Accessories: **Flex Edge, Jet Flow, Grip Ease**
- Tech Cards: **Reinforced Body, Tire Upgrade, Engine Enhancement**
- Fuel Consumption: **260.2** (first 10 races)
I started and ended the season with **720673.94 COLONY staked**.
The amount of COLONY staked together with the rating (=Ranking points) determines the Multiplier.

I like to monitor my gaming activity, so I took note of::
- the number of races I played
- the rating points I earned after each race
- my final position in each race
- the amount of Orbitals and Colony collected in each race
- the amount of FUEL consumed
In the next images, you can see the data I collected in each of the races I played in season 41.
On Moon Karts, COLONY token rewards per race increase as the number of races played increases and, consequently, as ranking points increase.
In the **first race**:
- I finished **first** (+10 ranking points)
- I collected **6 orbitals** and **4 colony** along the way (in-game items that do not correspond to COLONY tokens)
- I earned **1.83COLONY**
In the **187th race**:
- I finished **first** (+10 ranking points)
- I collected **6 orbitals** and **4 colony** along the way
- I earned **42 COLONY**
Considering only the rewards won in individual races, I earned a total of **3172 COLONY**.
**My final results in the two leaderboards** were:
- **5th place** in the **Orbital Leaderboard** - Reward: **24034 COLONY** (previous season: 6th place: 9635 COLONY)
- **7th place** in the **Ranked Leaderboard** - Reward: **9390 COLONY** (previous season: 7th place: 9390 COLONY)
Based on the market value (Highest Bid) of [COLONY] tokens (https://hive-engine.com/trade/COLONY) and the market value of HIVE tokens ($0.141), I calculated the value in SWAP.HIVE and dollars of the seasonal reward I received for playing in season 41.

Adding up all the rewards I earned (races + leaderboards), I received a total seasonal reward of **36596 COLONY = 26.07 SWAP.HIVE = 3.62$**
In season 41, I also monitored the quantity of in-game items I collected along the race tracks and the amount of FUEL I consumed:
- Total Colony items (not tokens): 836
- Total Orbital items: 978
- Total Fuel Consumed: 45062.62

I have summarized my total seasonal results in tabular form.
Thanks to the rewards I earned in season 41 (leaderboards + races) and thanks to the COLONY tokens I earned from the daily airdrop as an [SPS](https://hive-engine.com/trade/SPS) stakeholder and [GLX](https://hive-engine.com/trade/GLX) stakeholder (+384.13 COLONY), today I added **+36980.21 COLONY** to my stake.

I now have **757654.15 COLONY staked**.
I am continuing to make progress towards my goal of **1 million COLONY staked**, but I still need to accumulate 242345.85 COLONY and have completed **75.77%** of my goal.
# My goals for season 42
In season 41, I didn't reach my goal of **300 races played**.
Playing at least 300 races will also be my goal for season 42, but this time I hope to achieve it!
