Today starts the month of October, which is a month that is very dear to me because it is the month that positively changed my life, as I became a father in October 2013. My daughter Chiara was the best gift I have ever received in my life, and since her birth, my vision of life has completely changed. Today, 1st October, is also the day of the **tenth Hive Power Up** of 2025. Those who read my posts know that [Hive](https://hive.io/) is one of my passions and also know that **increasing my Hive Power** has always been and still is **my main goal** on Hive! On Hive there are **HIVE** tokens and **HBD** tokens but it is only the staked form of HIVE tokens = **Hive Power (HP)** that measures the influence of a Hive account. In my opinion, the approximately three percentage points in favour of HBD in savings are not worth as much as the use cases of Hive Power, and it is because of this personal assessment that I have always preferred to increase my Hive Power rather than increase my HBD. But above all, **with Hive Power I can support other Hive authors**, whereas with HBD I cannot! Participating in Hive Power Up Days is a well-established habit of mine on the first day of every month. The HIVE token has been moving around the £0.20 value for a long time, and from 22 September 2025, it dropped below £0.20.  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hive-blockchain/ Today, the **HIVE** token is worth **$0.1860**, but this value does not concern me because I have long-term goals on Hive.  https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hive-blockchain/ The only thing I regret is not having enough HBD to convert to HIVE to do Hive Power Up! **My reasoning is very simple: if I like something and enjoy it, it has value for me and could have future potential!** There are many activities I enjoy doing on Hive: - I like playing Hive-based games - I like publishing content on my Hive blog - I like interacting with other Hive users - I like supporting other Hive authors - I like supporting Hive-based projects - I like using Defi applications on Hive (Hive diesel pools) - .... For all these reasons, the current value of HIVE is not a problem for me, but rather an opportunity to accumulate more HP by trying to be as active as possible. In fact, when the value of the HIVE token is low, those who do not have long-term goals on Hive tend to be less active (they post little or nothing and do not interact), while those who have long-term goals like me try or should try to increase their posting and interaction activity on Hive! Every month, my goal on Hive is to publish at least one post per day, but this is a goal that I almost never achieve due to my work and family commitments. However, I am happy that in recent months I have come closer to this goal. Thanks to the Hive Power Up I did today, from 1 September 2025 to today, 1 October 2025, my Hive Power has grown by **+5293.53 HP**.  This is a result that I consider exceptional for me, and it is a result that was unthinkable for me in 2019 when my initial posts had a **payout = 0**.  [Dumbo e Tim Burton….accoppiata vincente? If you are a new user, **my advices** are: - enjoy interacting and publishing - support other authors - increase your Hive Power If you follow my advices, your growth will not be immediate but will be exponential over time.
