I am an active player in several Hive based games including all the games on the [Arcade Colony](https://arcadecolony.com/) platform.  https://arcadecolony.com/ Today after more than a year since my last post on [Genesis League Goals](https://goals.genesisleaguesports.com/) I am back to share my gaming activity and progress on this football themed game which has not been as successful as expected before its launch but is still an active and playable game and in a landscape where 90% of blockchain based games have disappeared is definitely a positive aspect. I published my last post entirely dedicated to [Genesis League Goals](https://goals.genesisleaguesports.com/) on 9 June 2024.  https://peakd.com/@libertycrypto27/posts?filter=genesisleaguegoals In this long interval of time, many things have changed on Genesis League Goals. In June 2024, the partnership with the Msl players association was active and the cards had the name and picture of real soccer players. In the next image you can see my Hiventus formation in June 2024.  Today, 29 August 2025, the partnership with the Msl players association has ended and the players have the same statistics as before but are no longer anchored to the real players because they have different names and images.  The player vs. player game mode that was initially only playable in manual mode became over time relatively boring to play for a good portion of the players whose feedbacks were listened to by the development team who introduced the **Auto Play feature**.  I use the auto-play mode and for a long time played in passive mode until 4 August 2025, when the **GLS Solo Tournament** started. I had never played a tournament before 4 August and I am glad I did because I enjoyed playing manually against other players and also received a prize in GLX tokens and GMLSPA card packs. Registration, match results and ranking were managed via https://challonge.com/it/8xqnmr2c.  I finished the tournament in **sixth place** out of 13 players.  I received this prize: - **8000 GLX** - **70 GMLSPA** Today (30 August 2025) **8000 GLX** are worth **9.17 SWAP.HIVE**  https://beeswap.dcity.io/swap?input=GLX&output=SWAP.HIVE [GMLSPA](https://hive-engine.com/trade/GMLSPA) tokens are the tokenized version of the game's card packs. The GMLSPA tokens have a very low market value (Highest Bid) and for this reason I preferred to open the packs I received as prizes with the aim/hope of finding NFTs useful to increase the level of the player cards I use in my two teams.  https://hive-engine.com/trade/GMLSPA ||| |-|-| To open the GMLSPA I went to the **COLLECTION->PACKS** section and clicked on **Open**.  I have chosen not to buy Scout Passes because I don't want to invest any more of my liquidity on Genesis League Goals for the time being, because I will only return to invest if there are new and interesting updates.  In the next pictures you can see the 350 NFTs I found in the GMLSPA card packs.                 In the next days I will take a closer look at my entire card collection to see if I can increase the star level of the cards I use in the game. **The first cards to upgrade are always the coach cards** because the star level of the coach cards defines the cap in XP points that a player card can have. Currently my two teams have coaches of star level = 4 and player cards of level 3-42. I would like to have cards with a star level of at least 5 points in my two teams. For regular cards you need 15 cards to combine to reach star level = 5 For gold cards you need 8 cards to combine to reach star level = 5. For example to upgrade my trainer Drew Dribbles I need three more star level = 1 cards to go from star level 4 to star level 5 because I have a total of 12 BCX.  In the next screenshot you can see how many cards you need to combine to reach the various star levels. If I will finish the tournament in 6th place I will win 6K GLX + 60 GMLSPA card packs which is still a good prize.  Tournaments are a lot of fun even if the mechanism is a bit complicated because: - you must first agree with players on Discord on when to play. - then you need to create a challenge on Genesis League Goals and invite the player - after the match you need to post screenshots of the result in the Tournaments channel of the Genesis League Goals discord server.
