My Road to 500K COLONY Staked Completed!
+ My Moon Karts Progress
I am an active player on several Hive-based games including **[Moonkarts](https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/)** which is a **Hive-based arcade race game** that is part of the games on the [Arcade Colony](https://arcadecolony.com/) platform.

I really like the idea behind the Arcade Colony platform: a single platform with several games and two main tokens: the [COLONY](https://hive-engine.com/trade/COLONY) token and the [SCRIPT](https://hive-engine.com/trade/SCRIPT) token.
- the [COLONY](https://hive-engine.com/trade/COLONY) token is the **gorvernance token** of Arcade Colony (equivalent to the [SPS](https://hive-engine.com/trade/SPS) token on Splinterlands and the [GLX](https://hive-engine.com/trade/GLX) token on Genesis League Sports)
- the [SCRIPT](https://hive-engine.com/trade/SCRIPT) token is the **stable currency** of Arcade Colony (equivalent to the [DEC](https://hive-engine.com/trade/DEC) token on Splinterlands and the [GLUSD](https://hive-engine.com/trade/GLUSD) token on Genesis League Sports)

On Arcade Colony my favourite games are [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=libertycrypto27) and [Moon Karts](https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/).
Splinterlands is over six years old while Moon Karts is a much younger game.
Moon Karts is the main reason why I started accumulating COLONY tokens because:
- when I like and enjoy a game I also like to accumulate assets (NFTs and tokens) that have use cases in game
- the COLONY token has use cases in the Moon Karts game because when staked it determines the Multiplier to receive better rewards by playing Moon Karts.

The staked COLONY tokens also have use cases on **Stake House Den** and in the future will also have use cases on **Hyper Rail Blaster** which is a playable game in the Alpha version but is still under development and the rewards system is not active.

At the beginning of April 2025 I had set an accumulation goal for COLONY tokens staked: **500K COLONY staked**
In my previous posts on Moon Karts, I shared my progress towards this goal.
Today I am happy to share that **I have reached and exceeded my accumulation goal** for COLONY staked tokens because in my in-game wallet on Arcade Colony I have **524985.50 COLONY staked**.

I've reached my goal but I'm not going to stop and I've decided to set a higher accumulation goal now!
My next goal will be to accumulate **1 Million COLONY staked!**
To reach this new goal I will have to accumulate another 475014.5 staked COLONY!
# My progress on Moon Karts
In order to reach my goal of accumulating staked COLONY tokens it **will be very important to play on Moon Karts** because until now it has been my main source of earning COLONY tokens.
Playing a lot of races on Moon Karts is equivalent to earning an increasing amount of COLONY tokens race after race.
In my **best season (season 33)** I played **222 races** and earned **68K COLONY** tokens.
In the current season (season 35) and the season before (season 34) I only played a total of 13 races because I was on holiday for 10 days during which I did not play.
I resumed playing yesterday and in the coming days and especially next season I will try to get back to the rhythm of play I had before I left for my last holiday.
Although I only played 7 races in the last completed season (season 34) on Moon Karts I still received a good reward in COLONY tokens:
- Races earnings: 83 COLONY
- Ranked Leaderboard: 6229 COLONY
- Orbital Leaderboard: 2152 COLONY
To improve the stats of my Kart Preset I need to buy more NFTs but the NFTs I need have too high prices on the market in my opinion.
For this reason I prefer to buy the card packs on Hive Engine even though the maximum purchase price I am willing to pay for one CENTAURI token is 10 SWAP.HIVE while the lowest purchase offer on Hive Engine today 26 August 2025 is 20 SWAP.HIVE per CENTAURI token.

I have two active purchase offers for 2 CENTAURI and I have 1 CENTAURI token that I purchased 21 days ago for 9 SWAP.HIVE.
Today I first transferred my CENTAURI token from my Hive Engine wallet to my in-game wallet.
Then I went to the **My Packs** section on Moon Karts and opened the **CENTAURI pack**.
In the next image you can see the five NFTs I found inside the CENTAURI pack.

Unfortunately I wasn't lucky because I didn't find any useful NFTs to improve my Kart Preset stats but I hope to have better luck next time.
