I am an active player in several Hive based games including all the games on the [Arcade Colony](https://arcadecolony.com/) platform.
The games on the Arcade Colony platform that I play the most are [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=libertycrypto27) and [Moon Karts](https://moonkarts.arcadecolony.com/) but I also have assets (NFT and tokens) of the games [Genesis League Goals](https://goals.genesisleaguesports.com/) and **[Stake House Den](https://stakehouseden.arcadecolony.com/)**.

Among the games on the Arcade Colony platform, **Stake House Den** is the youngest game.
It has been more than 30 days since my last login on Stake House Den and today, concurrently with writing this post I share **my daily gaming activity**, my **Refrigerator upgrade** and an **analysis of the results and rewards** I have earned playing **BlackJack**.
**Stakehouse Den** is a **Web3 Social Casino** based on NFTs and tokens.

A minimum amount of **10 Hot Sauce** is required to play.
The **Hot Sauce** is a non-saleable and non-transferable in-game item.
Hot Sauce is produced automatically over time by **stacking NFTs**.
For each **NFT staked**, you must have **2 SCRIPT staked** .
In a previous post of mine on Stakehouse Den, I showed how to staking cards to produce Hot Sauce and I also explained the mechanism behind the production of Hot Sauce with some examples.

Today after logging in I went to the MENY->REFRIGERATOR section to see the amount of Hot Sauce available to me.
Not having played for many days and not having made the Hot Sauce Generated Claim, I have accumulated **an amount of Hot Sauce in excess of my Hot Sauce Cap**.
In fact, my staked NFTs generate 268.5 Hot Sauce per day and since my last CLAIM to date have generated 5307.72 Hot Sauce while my Hot Sauce Cap can hold a maximum of 4000 Hot Sauce.
In order not to lose some of the Hot Sauce generated I decided to upgrade my Refrigerator from tier 3 to tier 4.
On 16 July 2025 I upgraded my Refrigerator: Tier 1 -> Tier 3.
To upgrade from Tier 1 (Hot Sauce Cap = 50) to Tier 3 (Hot Sauce Cap = 4000) I had spent 6 SCRIPT.
Today to go from **Tier 3 to Tier 4** I spent **25 SCRIPT** and I show you the steps I took.
To upgrade my Refrigerator I first bought 25 SCRIPT tokens using the **SWAP feature** of the **SWAP.HIVE:SCRIPT pool** and spent **33.76 SWAP.HIVE**.
I preferred to use the SWAP functionality of the SWAP.HIVE:SCRIPT pool because I spent 1.34 SWAP.HIVE per SCRIPT whereas if I had bought the SCRIPTs from Hive Engine I would have spent much more because the lowest sale offer was 1.749999 SWAP.HIVE per SCRIPT.
Then I went to https://arcadecolony.com/token/script/transfer to transfer the 25 SCRIPTs from my Hive Engine wallet to my in-game wallet.
Then I went to https://arcadecolony.com/shop/fridge-storage, selected SCRIPT as the payment method, and clicked on SCRIPT.
Then I went back to the REFRIGERATOR section on Stake House Den and did the CLAIM of 5314.72 Hot Sauce without losing a single Hot Sauce.
# Blackjack Reward Analysis & Hot Sauce vs Fuel Considerations
Today I started my gaming session on Stake House Den with:
- **8499.69 Hot Sauce**
- **154.6 COLONY** (earned playing on Moon Karts)
As I wrote in my previous posts, I don't really like casino games because I prefer games like Splinterlands and Moon Karts but I decided to play on Stake House Den anyway because:
- I like to accumulate [COLONY](https://hive-engine.com/trade/COLONY) tokens
- the presence of NFTs and tokens and the fact that **Hot Sauce is generatable over time** makes Stake House Den different from traditional casinos.
- Hive-based games are one of my passions
Today I decided to focus on **BlackJack** by **recording the results and rewards** of my gaming session.
In my first game I bet **20 Hot Sauce** and then clicked on **CONFIRM BET**
The dealer shows a **10** as an exposed card and I have a K and a 3 = **13**.
This is a scenario in which I have little chance of winning if I choose to stay and therefore I asked for another card by clicking on **HIT**.
I received a 4 and chose to **stay** with a score of **17**.
The dealer loses and I win **0.085 COLONY** token.
Another interesting hand was the one where the dealer had **10** and I had **10** with two cards.
In this situation I chose to **double the bet** and take a single card.
I made 20 but the dealer made the same score.
I gradually increased the bets and in a hand where I had **11** I **doubled the bet** and made **21** and won **7.09 COLONY** with a base bet of **400 Hot Sauce** which became 800 after doubling.
In the last hand of my playing session I bet **1000 Hot Sauce** and won **9.25 COLONY**.
In an excel sheet I wrote down the data of each of my bets.
**Hot Sauce used**: 3190
**Total COLONY won**: 19.9250
My **COLONY Staking Factor: 1.82** (I have 524985.50 COLONY staked)
The first interesting observation is that: **Betting more allows you to earn more if you win**.
This observation is evident when **I compare the winning bets** in which I bet:
- **50 Hot Sauce -> winnings: 0.25 COLONY**
- **200 Hot Sauce -> winnings: 1.34 COLONY**
- **800 Hot Sauce -> winnings: 7.09 COLONY**
- **1000 Hot Sauce -> winnings: 9.25 COLONY**
The second interesting observation is that: **The game rewards are much lower than in Moon Karts which has similar dynamics (NFT staking, FUEL instead of Hot Sauce)**.
Playing only **7 races** in season 34 on Moon Karts consuming **1820 FUEL** allowed me to earn **8464 COLONY**
Playing **19 games of BlackJack** on Stake House Den consuming **3190 HOT SAUCE** allowed me to earn **19.92 COLONY**

In my opinion, the **reward system should be revised**:
- **increasing the rewards in COLONY tokens or reducing the cost in Hot Sauce**
- by **introducing seasonal reward mechanisms** such as the two leaderboards present on Moon Karts.
The current rewards may be the result of a prudent choice by the development team who may want to get feedback from players first before increasing the rewards.
