Swap Hive, HBD and Hive Engine tokens quickly and easily with Hive KeyChain
The **Hive** blockchain has two main tokens, **HIVE** and **HBD**, and then there is the **Hive Power (HP)** which has so many use cases, measures influence on the blockchain and is achieved by staking HIVE tokens: **1 HP = 1 HIVE staked**.
There are several tools/services that permit **exchanging HIVE with HBD and vice versa** such as:

**[Hive](https://peakd.com/register?ref=libertycrypto27)** has many utilities and among them is the ability to **create, buy, sell** or **transfer** a **second-level token**.
There are many second-level tokens and all are manageable by one of Hive's second-level token dexes such as:

**HIVE** and **HBD** also have their own versions as second-level tokens of Hive:

For the **swap** between **HIVE** and **SWAP.HIVE** you can use different services/tools such as:

For the **swap** between **HBD** and **SWAP.HBD** you can use the **Deposit** and **Withdraw** features of the second-level token dexes.
For second-level **tokens** you can **swap** with **SWAP.HIVE** or **SWAP.HBD** tokens only if there is a **liquidity pool** that has as a pair the tokens you want to swap.
Converting a second-level token to HIVE or HBD token always requires you to perform a series of steps that for me who have been on Hive for more than four years have become easy steps to perform but for a new user is almost always difficult.
Thanks to the new functionality implemented by Hive Keychain **now doing the SWAP between HIVE, HBD and Hive Engine tokens has become a quick and easy task to complete**.
[Hive KeyChain](https://hive-keychain.com/) is my favorite tool for accessing the many dapps of the Hive blockchain.
Without Hive KeyChain I would have to enter my Hive Posting Key every time I want to publish, edit or modify one of my posts or comments.
Without Hive KeyChain I would have to enter my Hive Active Key every time I want to transfer a token or NFT to another user or to a Hive Dapp.

**If you are a Hive user but do not use Hive KeyChain I suggest you start using this tool** which you can download as an **extension of your Browser** or as an **App** for your **Android** or **iOS** device.

To show you how the new SWAPS feature of Hive Keychain works, today I performed a conversion operation of a second level token I have in my wallet to HIVE tokens.
Today I decided to convert **100 PGM** to **HIVE** token using **Hive KeyChain**.
The **PGM** token is a second-level token on the Hive blockchain that I use and was also the topic of one of my previous [posts](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@libertycrypto27/my-pgm-activity-and-accumulation-goal-and-my-partecipation-to-pgm-power-up-week-engita).
To perform the **SWAP 100 PGM -> HIVE**:
- **Step 1:** I clicked on the **symbol** of the **Hive Keychain** extension on my browser.
- **Step 2:** then I clicked on **SWAPS** in the bottom right corner within the **Hive Keychain** screen
On the next screen:
- **Step 3:** I clicked on the **down arrow in the first input field** and typed/selected **PGM**
- **Step 4:** then I entered the **PGM** token amount.
- **Step 5:** then I clicked on the **down arrow in the second input field** and selected **HIVE**
- **Step 6:** finally I clicked on **Swap**
**Step 7:** On the next screen I clicked on **Confirm**
Operation completed! Easy right?
The operation of **SWAP: 100 PGM -> 1,109 HIVE** was done correctly and in very few seconds.
If I had not used the SWAP feature of Hive Keychain I would have had to perform the following steps:
- sell 100 PGMs on Hive Engine or Tribal Dex in exchange for SWAP.HIVE
- do the withdraw from TribalDex or use another service to do the SWAP.HIVE -> HIVE conversion.

Final Considerations
Hive Keychain has implemented a great feature and more importantly has implemented a feature that was not there before because the conversion of a second level token to HIVE or HBD via a single SWAP operation is absolutely a nice reality and a nice novelty.

La blockchain di Hive ha due token principali, **HIVE** e **HBD**, e poi c'è l'**Hive Power (HP)** che ha tanti casi d'uso, misura l'influenza sulla blockchain e si ottiene mettendo in staking i token HIVE: **1 HP = 1 HIVE staked**.

Per i **token di secondo livello** è possibile fare lo **swap** con i token **SWAP.HIVE** o **SWAP.HBD** solo se c'è una **liquidity pool** che ha come coppia i token che vuoi swappare.
Convertire un token di secondo livello in token HIVE o HBD richiede sempre di eseguire una serie di passaggi che per me che sono su Hive da più di quattro anni sono diventati passaggi facili da eseguire ma per un nuovo utente è quasi sempre difficile.
Grazie alla nuova funzionalità implementata da Hive Keychain **adesso fare lo SWAP tra HIVE, HBD e i token di Hive Engine è diventata un'operazione veloce e semplice da completare**.
[Hive KeyChain](https://hive-keychain.com/) è il mio tool preferito per accedere alle tante dapps della blockchain di Hive.
Senza Hive KeyChain dovrei inserire la mia Hive Posting Key ogni volta che voglio pubblicare, modificare o editare un mio post o un mio commento.
Senza Hive KeyChain dovrei inserire la mia Hive Active Key ogni volta che voglio trasferire un token o un NFT ad un altro utente o ad una Hive Dapp.
Hive Keychain semplifica molto le operazioni di login e le operazioni di autorizzazione su Hive e **la nuova funzionalità di SWAP semplifica molto le operazioni di conversione** soprattutto per i nuovi utenti e soprattutto per le operazioni di conversione dei token di secondo livello di Hive che adesso possono essere convertiti in HIVE o HBD o in altri token di secondo livello in poco tempo e con una sola e singola operazione.

Per mostrarti come funziona la nuova funzionalità SWAPS di Hive Keychain oggi ho effettuato una operzione di conversione di un token di secondo livello che ho nel mio wallet in token HIVE.
Oggi ho deciso di convertire **100 PGM** in token **HIVE** utilizzando **Hive KeyChain**.
Il token **PGM** è un token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive che utilizzo e che è stato anche l'argomento di un mio precedente [post](https://peakd.com/hive-146620/@libertycrypto27/my-pgm-activity-and-accumulation-goal-and-my-partecipation-to-pgm-power-up-week-engita).
Per effettuare lo **SWAP 100 PGM -> HIVE**:
- **Passo 1:** ho cliccato sul **simbolo** dell'estensione **Hive Keychain** sul mio browser
- **Passo 2:** poi ho cliccato su **SWAPS** in basso a destra all'interno della schermata di **Hive Keychain**
Nella schermata successiva:
- **Passo 3:** Ho cliccato sulla **freccia rivolta verso il basso nel primo campo** e ho scritto/selezionato **PGM**
- **Passo 4:** poi ho inserito la quantità di token **PGM**
- **Passo 5:** poi ho cliccato sulla **freccia rivolta verso il basso nel secondo campo** e ho selezionato **HIVE**
- **Passo 6:** infine ho cliccato su **Swap**
**Passo 7:** Nella schermata successiva ho cliccato su **Confirm**
Operazione completata! Facile vero?
L'operazione di **SWAP: 100 PGM -> 1.109 HIVE** è stata eseguita correttamente e in pochissimi secondi.
Se non avessi utilizzato la funzionalità SWAP di Hive Keychain avrei dovuto eseguire le seguenti operazioni:
- vendere 100 PGM su Hive Engine o Tribal Dex in cambio di SWAP.HIVE
- fare il withdraw da TribalDex o utilizzare un altro servizio per fare la conversione SWAP.HIVE -> HIVE.
