Today at 8:33 p.m. **Splinterlands introduced three new features** including the lands functioning update (**Land 1.75 Update**). I postpone a more in-depth focus on Land Phase 1.75 to a future post of mine. I have **3 land plots**: - **1 plot** of type **Plains** - **1 plot** of type **Hills** - **1 plot** of type **Forest**. Before the 1.75 update, land plots could only produce **Grain, SPS and Research**. I have two plots that produced Grain and one plot that produced SPS.  I had set up my production to be self-sufficient. In fact, my grain production was higher than the total cost in grain required by my worker cards. After this update, the production of my plots will change and each of my plots will be able to produce an amount of resources based on the plot type. Today I went to the **Harvest All** section and clicked on **Claim Grain**.  Immediately after the claim I received a message informing me that the production of my Hills and Forest type land plots had been transformed.   Now my plot of type **Forest** produces **Wood** and my plot of type **Hills** produces **Stone**.   I have a plot of type **Plains** that produces **SPS** for which, prior to Phase 1.75, I only had to incur a cost in Grain to make the claim. Now, after the update, **to make the claim of SPS tokens I have to incur a cost in Grain, Wood, Stone and Iron**.  I have **169.59K Grain** in my in-game wallet and **could convert some of my Grain into the resources** I need to make the **claim of 5.17 SPS** (5.817 SPS - 0.646 SPS Tax)  But **I decided not to do this operation and I will explain why**. **5.17 SPS** can be converted to **38.92 DEC**  **To make the claim of 5.17 SPS I have to spend:** - 3213.36 GRAIN = **49.59 DEC**  - 1606.91 WOOD = **572.07 DEC**  - 642.76 STONE = **3238.63 DEC**  - 160.69 IRON = **1842.87 DEC**  **So to make the claim of 5.17 SPS (=38.92 DEC) I would have to spend swappable resources worth 5703.16 DEC? I think it is much better to sell the resources at this time! The new resources have very high convertible values to DEC at this time and for this reason **I prefer not to make the SPS token claim from my plot but change the production of my plot worksite from SPS to GRAIN**.     In 24 hours I will have GRAIN production instead of SPS production, but with the profit I will receive from selling resources I can buy more SPS or I can accumulate DEC to reinvest in the new set of cards when it is released.
