Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with Keep Your Distance

Splinterlands one of the best card battle game on hive blockchain. This week BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge is Keep Your Distance. This challenge is easy and also requires some basic understanding of cards used in battle. In this ruleset units with melee attacks may not be used. Use Phase, Void, Void Armor, and Magic Reflect to counter magic attacks. Use Headwinds and Return Fire to counter ranged attacks. Units with 2 types of attack (which include melee) cannot be used. As in this battle Monsters with magic attack are very helpful so I decided to use some strong magic attack monsters with high health. In this battle I used "Baakjira" as tank card having 12 health with void / slow and strengthen ability. In this battle all monsters losses all abilities so this is very simple battle. This battle was high mana 49 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was water vs water summoners.
    1. Monsters lose all abilities. 2. Ranged attacks may be used in the first position in battles. 3. Monsters with Melee attack may not be used in battles.    As battle was high mana so I decided to use some extra abilities cards and also try to fill all spots. I decided to use some strong back line cards having high health and attack. I used "Baakjira" as tank with no attack, 12 health and void / slow and strengthen ability. On 2nd position I used "Gelatinous Cube" no attack and 12 health with heal and scavenger ability. On 3rd position I used "Djinn Oshannus" two magic attack and 11 health with void and phase ability. On 4th position I used "Nerissa Tridawn" 3 magic attack and 9 health with no ability. On 2nd last position I used Runemancer Kye 2 magic attack, 5 shield and 8 health with life leech ability. On last position I used Magi of Chaos 2 magic attack and 5 health. In this battle my all monster cards losses all abilities. I am very happy with my team and if my tank card survives then my other cards will destroy the enemy team monsters. Let’s discuss my team one by one.  Baakjira I used Baakjira Legendary water Unit as a tank card. This card has no attack and 12 health with void / slow and strengthen ability. I used this card on tank position in all mana fights as this card is very helpful with all these abilities. This card is the best choice for tank position in all mana battles.  Gelatinous Cube On 2nd position I used GELATINOUS CUBE COMMON Neutral Unit with heal and scavenger ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of its heal ability and 12 health. Hope this card could heal his health on every turn.  Djinn Oshannus On 3rd position I used Djinn Oshannus Legendary water Unit. This card has two magic attacks and 11 health with void and phase ability. I always used this card as my back line card as this card is very helpful with his high health and phase ability.  Nerissa Tridawn On 4th position, I used Nerissa Tridawn Epic water Unit. This card has 3 magic attack and 9 health. So hope this card perform well and do maximum damage to enemy tank card.  Runemancer Kye On 2nd last position I used Runemancer Kye Legendary water Unit. This card has 2 magic attack, 5 shield and 8 health with life leech ability. I always used this card as my back line card as very helpful with 5 shields.  Magi of Chaos On last position, I used Magi of Chaos Epic neutral Unit. This card has 2 magic attack and 5 health. So hope this card perform well and do maximum damage to tank card and enemy monster cards.    So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle I mostly rely on my magic attack monster cards. I used "Baakjira" as my tank card with high health 12 this card's abilities also increase health of all friendly monster cards. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my other cards could eliminate enemy's back line monsters. My magic attack monster cards are very strong so they can do some damage to enemy back line monsters cards. I hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy back line monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did 9 magic attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 8 rounds.          My strategy failed in this battle although my all cards performed well. Our today's battle challenge with "Keep Your Distance" successfully completed. In this battle my enemy also brought a strong water team with magic and ranged attack monster cards. In this battle my enemy placed his cards very intelligently and also took advantage of close range ruleset. In close range ruleset ranged attack monster cards attacks from first position. This battle lasted for 8 round and very close battle and my opponent win this battle because of this ruleset. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods how to tackle enemy in any specific ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
