This year’s “Buda and Civi” Memorial Tournament took place in the shadow of major global events. Unfortunately, that kind of shadow does not protect against the Summer heat…
For those who are visiting our page for the first time, the Memorial Street Soccer Tournament “Buda and Civi” is dedicated to two heroes from our village, who gave their lives defending Serbia and the Serbian people at Košare outpost during the criminal NATO aggression in 1999. Dragan Komarica and Ivica Serafinović will forever remain in the memory of future generations who visit this tournament.

За оне који први пут посећују нашу страницу, Меморијални турнир у малом фудбалу “Буда и Циви’ посвећен је двојици хероја из нашег насеља, који су дали животе бранећи Србију и српски народ на Кошарама током злочиначке НАТО агресије 1999. Драган Комарица и Ивица Серафиновић остаће заувек у сећању будућих генерација које посећују овај турнир.

There was 15 teams registered for this year’s tournament – two more than last year, which was a bit of a surprise considering the fact that the Summer vacation season had begun in earnest.

За овогодишњи турнир пријавило се 15 екипа – две више него прошле године, што је било мало изненађење с обзиром на чињеницу да је сезона летњих одмора увелико почела.
Екипа СДЦЗ стратешки је изабрала познато име рачунајући да ће омиљеним бојама привући већи број навијача:

The biggest headache on the first day was the team ‘Special’, who were mercilessly thrown into the draw by last year’s (and multiple) champions, ‘Fitness & Gym 300’.
Највећу главобољу првог дана имала је екипа ‘Специјалаца’ које је жреб немилосрдно бацио пред прошлогодишње (а и вишеструке) шампионе, ‘Теретану 300’
Even the half-time agreement didn’t help… Despite the fact that ‘Fitness & Gym 300’ came this year without their captain Velibor Vlahović, they were too strong for the ‘Specials’. As usual, goal scorer Boža Simić excelled, and it’s better not to reveal the final result.
Ни договор на полувремену није помогао… Упркос томе што је ‘Теретана 300’ ове године дошла без свог капитена Велибора Влаховића, били су прејаки за ‘Специјалце’. По обичају, бриљирао је голгетер Божа Симић, а коначан резултат боље да не откривамо.

…у најважнијем мечу дана – против ‘Теретане 300’!
It is the summer season and the best players play several tournaments at the same time. So Boža, the top scorer of ‘Fitness & Gym 300’, missed this match due to participation at another tournament. Despite this, they were considered big favorites against the home team ‘Miloje Đak’. And indeed, the first half started with a terrifying pressure from the favourites. The heroic defense of ‘Miloje Đak’ team was nevertheless broken a few minutes before the end of the half…
Летња је сезона и најбољи играчи играју више турнира истовремено. Тако је Божа, најбољи стрелац ‘Теретане 300’, изостао са ове утакмице због учешћа на другом турниру. Упркос томе, важили су за велике фаворите против домаће екипе ‘Милоја Ђака’. И заиста, прво полувреме почело је застрашујућим притиском фаворита. Јуначка одбрана ‘Милоја Ђака’ ипак је пробијена неколико минута пре краја полувремена…
At that moment, there was no sign of a positive outcome for the home team, but then miracles began to happen. In the final moments of the half, the attacks of ‘Miloje Đak’ team resulted in a score of 1:1!
Није се у тим тренуцима могао наслутити позитиван исход по домаћу екипу, али онда су почела да се дешавају чуда. У последњим тренуцима полувремена, напади екипе ‘Милоја Ђака’ дају резултат – 1:1!

And the tactic was clearly ‘better a sparrow in your hand than a pigeon on a branch’. That is, a concrete defense, and if something goes out of the counterattack… And by God, it did! It didn’t take long for the counterattack to end with the home team taking the lead:
А тактика је очигледно била ‘боље врабац у руци него голб на грани’. Односно, бункер, па ако из контре нешто испадне… И богами, испало је! Није се дуго чекало на контранапад који је завршио вођством домаће екипе:
From that moment on, we watched the game with one goal in mind. Waves of attacks from ‘Fitness & Gym 300’ were crashing into the defense of the ‘Miloje Đak’ team… and they couldn’t break through!
Од тог тренутка гледали смо игру на један гол. Таласи напада ‘Теретане 300’ разбијали су се о одбрану елкипе ‘Милоја Ђака’… и нису успели да је пробију!

Was this a historic, first victory for the hosts over ‘Fitness & Gym 300’? The tournament oldest participants say that ‘Miloje Đak’ team won its first and only trophy so far precisely by winning the final over ‘Fitness & Gym 300’. So, it’s not the first victory, but it’s probably sweeter than ever. The congratulations were well deserved.
Је ли ово била историјска, прва победа домаћина над ‘Теретаном 300’? Најстарији учесници кажу да је екипа ‘Милоја Ђака’ свој први и једини трофеј досад освојила управо победом у финалу над ‘Теретаном 300’. Дакле, није прва победа, али је вероватно слађа него икад. Честитке су биле заслужене.
