It was a nice day with a bit of sunshine today. I played a practice round of disc golf at the local eighteen-hole course by the river. It was a bit of an interesting round.
The first two holes I birdied and felt nice about my throwing. Gradually, as the round went on, I got more and more distracted. I was missing some easy approach throws but making putts for par. Then I missed a few drives and ended up taking a few bogeys. Taking a few bogeys led to taking a few double bogeys after missing some really easy putts.
To make a long story short, I ended with a +5 when initially I was thinking that I could go under par. It was a bit windy, but that really is that good of an excuse.
Tomorrow, some friends are joining me for a round at a more difficult course. I really should be able to go under par on this course if I can focus a bit more. The nice thing about this course is that there are not as many distractions, so at least I should not have that problem.
