My friend and I played a round of eighteen-hole disc golf this morning. He ended up winning with the scores at +22 and +21. It was a close round and a lot of fun to be out playing today.
I purchased a new Tern disc with scrip this morning. I went into the shop thinking about maybe getting another Thrasher disc since the one I have has really excellent graphics on it that I don't want to mess up. But then I spotted a Tern disc in Halo plastic, and I really liked the color. It's red with a gold rim. The multicolored foil graphic looks very nice, too.
I really like Star plastic, and I have heard that the Halo plastic is a bit more stable than Star. I used to throw the Tern a lot, but most of mine either hit too many trees or had colors that were very difficult to find, so I stopped throwing them.
I threw the new Tern disc a lot today. The plastic feels wonderful and it is a good stability. It seems to work well on both forehand and backhand for me. It seems to fly a lot like the Thrasher. It does not go as far as my D4 discs do, but it seems to be easier to control.
