I played disc golf in the afternoon out at the local course near the river. There were a lot of local disc golfers out when I got there. The weather was really nice but just a little bit windy.
Several people greeted me when I showed up to the course. Most I recognized, but some I did not. I waved at everyone and joined up with a group of three friends who wanted to play.
We played doubles, and the teams were very close, and we ended up in a tie at -4. It was nice to go under par on the course. I don't usually do that when I play by myself, but occasionally, I do.
One of the guys I was playing with was complaining about pain and stiffness in the muscle near the back of the hip. It makes me think that what I'm complaining about in my lower back might just be the result of this muscle being overworked. It seems to be a fairly common issue among disc golfers.
It seems like stretching is helpful, so I'm going to try to do that more consistently. I will also try not to overdo it too much and throw a bit smoother if possible.
