Era casi medianoche en el pueblo, ya a esa hora todos los botes estaban atracados en el pequeño muelle y todos los pescadores de vuelta en tierra, solo yo seguía en el lago. La luz de la luna llena se reflejaba sobre el agua como un espejo y a través de él podía verse casi hasta el fondo del agua poco profunda en la que me encontraba. Era el momento, ¿cuál será su antojo esta noche?
Esta es la cuarta noche de luna llena en las que cumplo con sus peticiones, una mano, un ojo y una oreja hasta el momento. Ahí viene, siempre es igual, el agua cristalina se torna oscura y revuelta mientras del centro del lago aparece, una sombra tenebrosa cubierta de algas y rocas caminando hacia mi. Una pierna - susurraba con una voz siniestra - ya sabes qué hacer, pronto podrás ver a tu hermana.
Esta vez va a ser difícil, no hubo ningún entierro esta semana, ¿cómo voy a conseguir una pierna? No quiero hacerle daño a nadie, pero quiero verla, han pasado 3 años ya, si hay una pequeña posibilidad de que sea cierto y este espíritu del lago puede hacer que la vea voy a hacer de todo por lograrlo.
